After returning to his room, Raphaēl was borderline exhausted. His excitement from earlier disappeared as he plopped onto his bed wrapped with a soft cloak.
"Warm…" he muttered as his eyes fluttered shut, drifting him off into his dreams. His very first night was well and sweet, his dreams never were realistic, but he could only dream tonight of the sweet knowledge he would attain.
On the other hand, his accomplice in a night rendezvous on the terrace drifted to bed. For once he needed rest to adjust his soon new schedule. Had this not been his fault, he never would of attended a school for different species.
Before him stood a man and a woman, the woman whose face he could not tell nor believe existed with a man who seemed familiar but he could not pinpoint.
Stakes were unceremoniously shoved through his heart by the woman who only whispered with what seemed like a smile from her previously blacked out face.
His eyes widened as he felt a giant pang through his body. He was in the body of the man he wished in every nightmare not to be him. Nor that woman.
He gasped out in pain as blood rushed out of the gaping hole. His silvery hair fell over his face and a large shadow was behind him. The monster he had created and unleashed.
Similarly, the other two residents of the house were at rest. One groaning out in pain as the other was clutching their body as tight as possible, unable to achieve peace.
As the long night passed, which in actually was no more than a few hours, Raphael had woken up. "Mmm…" he mumbled as his alarm rang. Loud screaming and mental harassment he thought looking at the small device.
The village birds were not as loud, but he is sure this was trying to rupture his ear drums instead of waking him. Looking at it, "6:15am" he groaned. Why?
In the village he normally did not wake until late morning. Unfortunately the alarms are set for a suggested wake up.
He stretched as his shirt rose up his body ever so slightly, and ran a hand through his messy black locks. He got up and groggily walked to the bathroom, not gawking due to the fact he could barely open his eyes anymore.
He lazily got his toothbrush they left with a set of pleasantries and brushed his teeth, pulling on the heavy sweater he had on him while lightly washing his face, and heading out.
He left his things with Axul, and headed over. He nearly hit his head a few times and failed to notice his roommate watching him with a raise brow before walking downstairs.
"Mmmthere?" He called out with a few knocks to the door. No response, even after a minute causing him to go down. He hoped he did not go for a swim, he did not have energy.
Yawning he made his way to the lounge, dining room, then kitchen. He heard a few whispers and went to the source. As soon as he entered he saw the iridescent-prince cooking. "Mmornin'… azzz.." he nearly fell forward.
His voice was raspy and his throat dry, his body barely ready to function. His eyelids shut down and as his body fell to the floor the pink-haired boy went to catch him.
He thrived off limited hours of sleep and now forced into social interaction he found to be a nightmare. He was extremely upset to accept reality and was not a morning person. "Woah, you okay Rael you're falling?!"
The sea prince barely caught him then set him down. He was taken to the dining room, easily carried as his head began dozing. He really could not take this.
With a sigh the small boy wandered off into the kitchen. Within a few minutes he returned with a hot cup which nearly burned him. "Your fingers are extremely cold.." the boy jolted back.
Taking a sip of the strange brown fluid the human stuck out his tongue. "bleh." he did not like the tastelessness of this.
Only bitter he thought as he forced the liquid down to not offend a prince who may feel offended and suddenly not offer him drinks anymore. "What's this?" He asked slowly opening his eyes.
Tilting his head the peach eye boy was taken aback. "Waah? You really never heard of coffee before?? And do you want creamer?…" he asked noticing the physical repulsion on the boy's face.
Creamer? "Uhmm.." he stuttered starting to wake up but not understand everything after being conscious. With not a second to spare the smaller boy ran and fetched creamers.
He was shown how to put it in, stir, and taste. One creamer was too little, very better. Two was two little, still bitter, three was a bit underdone as it was better, and a forth creamer packet was too sweet. "So about three fourths?" He said moving to the kitchen.
As he drank his coffee in silence still processing what this liquid was breakfast was served before him, and by the said intimidating roommate. He subconsciously pulled the warm object he said was a sweater to himself.
Wait… he was never wearing a sweater. Looking down he let out an "ehh" to what he was wearing as in disbelief.
This garment was not his own and looked way too fancy. Obnoxiously long sleeves and luxurious fabric he could not afford in fifty years.
Snickering the iridescent prince had his arm to his mouth as the blue haired man raised a brow. "Are you stupid? Or did you not know you were wearing his cloak?" He asked putting down a plate of pancakes.
He had no clue and immediately felt his stomach betray him. The pancakes were fluffy and light and nicely done. Nothing burnt not crisp just plain soft. The butter drizzled perfectly with the syrup flowing down the sides of the pancakes mixing together to pool at the bottom.
He felt his mouth salivate at the sight and the smell practically had him heard over heels. "If you're going to stare just it." The man said slightly disturbed and annoyed at his reaction.
"You do make good food, let him enjoy it!" The merman replied. Bringing out a large kettle he poured more coffee into his and three more cups. Amazing.
The smell was beyond amazing and the taste was ethereal as he put one on his plate with a fork. He cut through easily, slicing the food and putting it into his mouth where he nearly cried.
He did not exaggerate to say that true love was this pancake. He forgot all his worries taking another bite. His tongue tasted the syrup which was different from the ones of his village. Not overly sweet but tasted nearly like fruits or strawberries, melting together.
His body reacted normally as anyone before the best meal of his life. He couldn't hear anything else as more dishes got served and he took to eating. The sausage was not overly thick and shaped by the chef, all from scratch and tasted delicious.
The bacon and eggs, this was likely the most he ate forever. "Dewicious…" mumbled escaped as the other two looked like parents.
One mother happy her son ate with a closed eyed smile that clearly claimed to shout watch out! you should run before he gets to question you. The father looked annoyed but slightly amused by how well he ate the food he had made and appreciated that.
"He's off somewhere, other than here- why would he?" The red-eyed man said with a low voice watching him, shaking his head, before the food grows cold he was starting on his meal, eating silently.
The small boy laughed. There were going to be questions. "Aww frustrated? Loss of words by how happy the human seems, unlike you? The human just doesn't believe or maybe doesn't think he would die." He sighed.
Although the boy was worried, he didn't act so. People were still upset and at war. Don't fight was a rule but who would stop them? His habit of just stopping his thoughts and focusing on one thing was dangerous. But that was still a charm.
"Stop looking like a proud mom, gross." The man said with a scoff. The third prince was someone he was not familiar with but somehow wormed through the kitchen and started talking to him and surprisingly held a conversation. No wonder the human fell.
Once you know what the annoying child was capable of you would dislike him. However his unique charm made that nearly unthinkable- there was no way he could harm. Nor extinct a species on his own
A boy with no order who took out a place and the people within… solely since they annoyed him. His response to the king,? "They were boring me." He lacked empathy.
As he was lost with his thoughts he failed to notice the human who finished three cups of coffee that was physically shaking, and a vampire dressed with overly elegant garments appear.
A thin hand with long slender fingers cool to the touch rubbed the corners of the boy's mouth. "Foolishly frail human you got dirty crumbs…" his movements were swift.
Two of the three saw nothing as the vampire king walked into the room once more. "Ah good morning! Care to tell me about your affair?" The pink hair body called out with a bright smile. The morning would be entertaining.
