A sudden moment

In Green City, surrounded by mountains and waters, the wind blew gently at the end of spring and the beginning of summer, bringing a sense of warmth mixed with a touch of chilliness.

Victoria Garcia and Alexander Mitchell sat face to face.

"How did you come to Green City?" Alexander asked first.

Victoria didn't want to say too much, but she didn't intend to hide anything from Alexander either. She simply said: "I've returned to the Brown Group, and the company sent me here to see if I can save this Old Factory. If I can, then naturally I'll have a place to go back to."

Since their last meeting, Alexander had been busy with his affairs here and knew a bit about Victoria's situation, but not the specifics.

"Was it him who helped you get back to the Group?" The "him" Alexander referred to was well-known to both of them, and it was Arnold Johnson.

Victoria replied: "Mm, yes."

Hearing this answer, Alexander suddenly felt annoyed at himself for asking such a question.
