A different morning

Victoria Garcia agonized all night, and fell asleep in a daze, without any dreams.

Arnold Johnson didn't return all night.

When she woke up, not seeing the familiar person, Victoria suddenly felt as if she had lost something in her heart.

She couldn't help but wonder, where did he go last night? Where did he sleep? Was there someone beside him? If so, was it a woman? A stranger or one of the women in his house?

Thinking about this, Victoria's hand gripping the water cup suddenly let go. The water cup fell to the ground and shattered. Instinctively, she squatted down to pick up the broken glass pieces.

One by one... Suddenly, she lost her focus, and a piece of glass pierced her finger. Blood poured out instantly, but she couldn't feel any pain.

Victoria stared blankly at her own blood dripping onto the floor.

Footsteps approached, very light, but still heard by Victoria.
