As she asked the question, Clara Brown felt tears that had been held back for a long time flow out instantly. Sobbing, she said, "They said your dad committed a crime, and now they're investigating everything. They only allow me to take my personal belongings, but nothing else."

"On what grounds!" Mia Garcia exclaimed.

Clara had no idea, but she knew that's what the police had told her.

"The police said they're following orders from their superiors, and if we don't agree, we have to appeal through normal procedures. Right now, we have to leave this house!" Clara, who had lived here for over a decade, never expected to leave in such a manner.

While they were talking, a police officer came over and urged, "Hurry up and pack. We'll have to report back once our work here is done. We'll give you another half an hour. If you're not ready by then, you'll just have to leave!"
