Life after catastrophe 3

"How well done do you want it?" Arnold turned his head to ask Victoria.

Instead, Victoria asked him back, "What do you think is the best doneness?"

"Since you don't like raw food, let's go for six or seven out of ten." After all, Arnold wasn't a professional chef, so he wasn't sure if his work would be six or seven out of ten.

Victoria smiled and agreed, "Alright, I'll trust your judgment!"

"Now see if there's anything else you want to eat in the fridge. Bring some out and put them on the dinner table. Don't forget to grab some wine for me," Arnold instructed naturally.

"Okay!" she replied.

Not too long later, Victoria had already set the table, even including a bouquet of flowers. The sight was simply pleasing to the eye.

The vegetable salad, the neatly cut fruit platter, the small portion of cooked pasta, and Arnold's self-made grilled fish were all set. Sitting here high in the sky with a loved one, enjoying this dinner, it felt blissfully perfect.

"Cheers!"

"Cheers!"
