"Mhm, don't leave! Once you're gone, I'm so scared, scared that you won't come back, scared that you'll get a driver and just leave me behind. I'm really, really scared." Aubree Field rambled on.
Upon hearing this, Alexander Mitchell felt immensely heartbroken.
He must have been cold and heartless to her most of the time, which is why Aubree was so afraid that he would be such a scumbag.
"It won't happen, Leah, I won't leave. I'll stay with you. Close your eyes and get some rest!" Alexander consoled her.
Aubree held his hand and finally closed her eyes with peace of mind. However, she couldn't calm down. The baby in her belly moved irregularly, which only made her more frightened.
"Alexander, what should I do? The baby's moving around in my belly, and I'm really scared."
"It's okay, the fact that he's moving means he's still healthy. Babies are stronger than we think." Alexander whispered softly, trying to comfort her and hoping she would stop overthinking.
