A fleeting glance

When Ava got up the next morning, she felt her body burning with fever, and her head splitting with pain, as if she was about to die.

Last night, after Victoria left with Arnold Johnson, she stood alone on the balcony for a long time, feeling the night breeze.

That must have given her a cold.

When Laura, her assistant, came over and saw Ava's red face, she was shocked. She touched Ava's forehead and almost withdrew her hand because it was so hot.

"Oh my gosh, Sister Ava, you have a fever. I'll take you to the hospital right away." Laura put down what she was holding, grabbed a jacket, and draped it over Ava, preparing to take her to the hospital.

Though Ava was feverish and confused, she knew she was wearing pajamas.

"Laura, are you really going to make me go to the hospital looking like this? What if the paparazzi catch me looking so pathetic?"

Only then did Laura realize her mistake and quickly got Ava's clothes from the wardrobe.
