Hannah Garcia looked at Jolson, and said coldly and harshly, "Jolson, I won't kill him. If you have the guts, kill me instead!"
"You really won't kill him?" Jolson asked her to confirm once more.
"Yes, I won't kill him!" Hannah Garcia said with unwavering determination.
Jolson, seeing her determination, actually started to laugh, "What a devoted and good woman indeed. I wonder what Master Thomas would think if he knew."
"But, have you ever considered, if you don't kill Master Thomas, and I kill you, what will become of your daughter? She's still counting on you to protect her until she's one. You know, she's not even half a year old yet. Are you really going to be that cruel?"
At Jolson's words, Hannah Garcia completely collapsed as if a bomb had detonated within her.
"If it were me, having to choose between my lover and my child, what would I decide? This choice really is agonizing," Jolson muttered to himself, actually just posing the question for Hannah Garcia to consider.
