Chapter 14 Stagecoach

Mark and Gabe managed to start fixing the stagecoach, Gabe noticed that Mark somehow fixed the tires. "How the hell did you fix tires when we are miles away from the nearest town? In the middle of nowhere!?" Mark chuckled. "If I told you then I'd have to kill you." Gabe's jaw dropped. "Are you serious?" Meanwhile, Leroy was watching David who was now untied from his ropes. David watched as Mark and Gabe worked. "So you're the Red Terror? Right?" Mark nodded. "So if you're here? Wouldn't the Blue Death be here?" Mark's smile turned into a frown. "The Blue Death is...no longer with us…" David felt sorry for assuming. "How did it happen?" Mark went silent after hearing that question, Gabe also tried to listen since he knew that Sam was curious. "I can't say. Because his dying wish was that nobody would know how it happened, except for me, the Second Sheriff of Watersville, and the Deputy of Watersville." Everyone was confused, especially Gabe. 'Why would The First Sheriff not want to let anyone else know how he died? Unless...he knew he somehow knew he was dying.' Gabe wondered about it for a bit but decided to focus on the task at hand, fixing the stagecoach and taking down Billy the Kid. "So if he is the Red Terror? Then who are you two?" Leroy spoke for Gabe. "We are the students of the Red Terror and the new members of Purple Reaper." David still had questions. "What are your names?" Leroy hesitated since he still didn't trust him deep down, but decided that the best way to help Mark would be to trust the person he is trusting. "Leroy, Leroy Suden." Leroy held out his hand to shake as he said his name, to which David took it and shook it. 'This kid is a part of the Suden family? I thought they were all wiped out by Renroy Suden.' Gabe also turned toward David and offered his hand. "And I'm Gabe Vochinch, nice to meet ya!" David shook his hand with a smile. 'This kid is pretty energetic, I like him.'

Gabe and Mark finally finished working on the stagecoach, the driver even woke up after being knocked out and wondered what was going on. After a long explanation, the stagecoach driver agreed to the plan and decided to go along with it. "Alright, we're on our way." The Driver said, looking as serious as ever. "Here, put these on." David handed the three of them black cloaks. "What are these for? Gabe asked." David answered. "They are to keep them from recognizing you or seeing your face." Mark nodded since he was the one they needed to protect the face of. "Alright then gents, we're going now." The stagecoach driver said as he whipped the horses into moving, leaving David and the others in the stagecoach.

They were all silent, pretty awkward since they first met. "So...can you tell us about Billy the Kid?" Leroy and Mark looked scared after hearing Gabe ask that, mainly because everyone in the west is normally afraid to talk about him. "There isn't much to talk about him since not a whole lot is known about him, even his closest worker he has knows next to nothing about him." Gabe was confused by David's answer. "I do know that much myself, but do know some things about him, but you probably already know some of what I'm about to say." Everyone listened in, except for Mark who looked to be avoiding the conversation. "All I know is that many years ago the West was just like it was today, except there was less crime, but the government was still corrupt. As you know the government threatens people of the west with no protection if they don't stay in power." Leroy already knew most of this, but this was all news to Gabe since he was so sheltered. "But one day, out of nowhere a man showed up who had made a fortune on drugs and a number of other crimes." Gabe was shocked by this. "He also did other things to gain his fortune that I would rather not discuss. But the point is, when the government heard of this man, they decided to go after him, mainly because he had way too much power and proposed a threat to them." Gabe kept listening on. "As soon as the government appeared in this man's presence, they told him to surrender himself for his crimes and he would be punished because of it." Gabe thought that no man could ever get out of a situation from that, but little did he know that he was wrong. "When the government ordered him, all he said was words I would never forget to this day." Leroy and David listened closely.

You think I'm corrupt? Sure I do things that nobody would ever dream of doing, but that doesn't make you people any better. I've seen the stuff you have done to stay in power, executing people for no right reason, not paying attention to the real crisis our people will soon face, and not providing like a true government should do in a heartbeat. All that you are concerned with is power itself, pushing everything else aside for the sake of keeping it. If you wish to attempt to arrest me then do as you wish, but I will fight back as I am not held by bound by chains that the rest of the citizens are in, the chains that make them believe that sitting by is the right thing to do while they are being tortured and abused by you people every day.

Those words shocked Leroy and Gabe. "He really said all that?! Seriously?" David nodded. "What happened next?" David closed his eyes before he spoke. "As you know, there was a bounty added to his head, and as soon as it was put on his head, he wrote that if anyone successfully captured him, then he would give his entire fortune." This shocked Leroy and Gabe, they couldn't believe anyone would ever put themselves out there like this. "As you would imagine, many bounty hunters decided that this amount of money was nothing to ignore, so they went after him and…" David stopped talking for a second, showing Gabe and Leroy that what happened next was horrifying. "He killed 50 of them, easily." This was it, this was the event that made Leroy and Gabe realize that this wasn't your average man. "Do you know how he did it?" Leroy asked. "No, all I know is that the only weapons he carries around are 2 Colt Action Army Revolvers, not enough to take on this many people." Leroy wondered how the hell somebody could do something like this, it was inhuman. "That doesn't even count the hundreds of other people that came across him before that weren't bounty hunters." Leroy and Gabe began to fear going to this meeting. "Don't worry though guys, you won't have to go inside, I'll do all the hard work and listen to the meeting while you stay here in the stagecoach and wait. Leroy and Gabe nodded, while Mark didn't give a single sign, except for his depressed look as he looked out the window.

After about 30 minutes of riding, they finally made it. Gabe looked outside, only to see what looked to be a Sheriff's Station, except it had been abandoned, in the middle of nowhere with no town to be insight, and to top that off nobody looked to be here. That didn't stop David from getting out of the stagecoach, he was just about to enter the building when Leroy grabbed his shoulder. "I'm coming with you." David looked scared. "Why are you coming? I thought I told you that they would be suspicious if you came in." Leroy looked serious. "I'm not leaving you, whether you like it or not. I'm not having you get out of my sight once." David tried to use fear tactics to scare him out of it. "If you go in, they would surely kill you," Leroy answered. "Nobody will recognize me since I look nothing like my father, not to mention I don't have a bounty on my head, unlike those two." David knew that he couldn't talk Leroy out of it. "Fine, but you need to stay close to me at all times and follow my lead." Leroy nodded. 'I will do this for you master, to heal your wounds like you are trying to heal mine.' Leroy thought to himself as he and David walked in. Meanwhile, in the stagecoach, Gabe laid down inside next to Mark who was also bored. "Ugh, Master what do we do while we wait?" Gabe then thought of something, he proceeded to try and make the ball that Mark made out of energy, only to make it big again, which Mark quickly compressed. "Still don't get it, kid?" Gabe nodded no. Mark looked to be thinking, he then had an idea. "Well that technique is a pretty advanced one, so I'm not surprised that everyone can't get it." Gabe was still upset nonetheless. "Regardless, I think I should teach you an easier technique that is equal when it comes to fighting skill." After hearing that, Gabe got excited.

Meanwhile, Leroy and David walked in, and from there he saw 5 men in the building. One was the girl leaning against the wall who was referred to as Casity, who was smoking as usual. Next was a guy who sat on the right side of the table, he looked to be a big guy who wore sunglasses, a brown jacket, a black shirt, brown pants, brown shoes, a bit overweight, and a serious face as he sat there. The next guy was a man who looked to be extremely skinny and tall, he wore a tuxedo suit, fancy black shoes, slicked-back black hair that looked to be gelled, and he had a smug smile on his face. The guy next to the skinny guy was a man who looked to be wearing many sheriff badges on his brown trench coat, normal short black hair, average 5.9 height like the others, black pants, black hair, brown boots, and he looked to be extremely bored. Finally, there was the head of the table that was in the shadows and could not be seen, all that was seen was the smile in the darkness that would haunt your nightmares of millennia and his red pupils that looked to be glowing in the darkness. David was sweating as Leroy entered with him. "David, so kind of you to arrive, I appreciate you coming here." The man in the shadows said as David nodded and bowed a bit. "Thanks, Billy." Leroy was shocked after hearing those words. 'THAT'S BILLY THE KID?!' He thought as he saw the smile in the shadows. "Who is this man with you?" Billy asked as he noticed Leroy looking at him. "This is my bodyguard, you know how the bounty is, right?" Billy said nothing but looked at Leroy. 'OH NO! HE'S GETTING SUSPICIOUS!' Billy kept looking at Leroy. "Very well, It's a good idea for a weakling such as yourself. But do keep in mind that you may not need one if I am here." Leroy was relieved, he wasn't suspicious. David bowed again and nodded. "Thank you for the suggestion, sir." Billy kept looking at Leroy with that terrifying grin never going away, he then turned to David and nodded in the shadows. "Well then, let's get this meeting underway," Billy said.

Casity sat down, still smoking, even as the meeting started. "Alright, Boss what's this about?" After Casity asked, Billy turned his attention to Leroy, which made Leroy nervous. "A Suden, wow, I didn't know that you went that high when it came to getting a bodyguard, I thought the entire family died years ago." This made Leroy extremely angry. "Um..yeah, he's like under 10 years younger than me, and yet he still could kick my ass in a fight, along with a normal bounty hunter." Leroy didn't speak, he just kept ignoring Billy who was looking at him, Billy then decided to look away and made Leroy relieved. "Right, let's get this meeting to order." Leroy stayed where he was as the meeting started. "Today we are going to be going over my plan, the plan of expansion." Leroy wondered what he meant. "Since the day I started this life I have wanted nothing more than the power to control and gain." All the men listened in as he spoke. "Think about it, if we control the west, then all our dreams will come to fruition." The overweight man was confused. "How are we going to get the West exactly?" Billy was silent for a second, he inhaled and exhaled. "Good question Brava, my plan is that we take our best men equipped with fighting, and have a surprise attack at Gavin DC, from there I will be at the front lines of the battle doing most of the work, fighting off the government's best soldiers." Casity raised her hand. "Yes, Casity?" She spoke. "Even if we did this plan, we would need a miracle in order to win. Don't get me, the wrong boss, you're a powerhouse, but I don't think you can even pull this off alone." Billy then proceeded to look Casity in the eyes with his demonic glowing red eyes. "I am disappointed in Casity, I believed you would have more confidence in your leader." Casity wasn't afraid, she looked as if she did something wrong and felt upset at herself for it. "I'm sorry boss, I just. I am not sure how this is going to work?" Billy then turned to the entire table. "That is why I am going to the front lines, to do my job." The men at the table were confused, along with Leroy and David. "I am going to blow up Swan Hall and take out most of the targets by myself." The men at the table looked as if they understood what he was talking about, but David looked as if he was unfamiliar with what Billy was talking about. "Um, sir? What do you mean that you will blow them up? And that you will do it by yourself?" Billy then turned his demonic eyes over to David, giving him the death stare. "You'll find out David, since you're still new, I want to surprise you." Leroy was shocked by this. 'So he is going to blow up Swan Hall? But how is he going to do it himself? Does he mean he is going to lay a gunpowder barrel next to town hall?' He was very confused. 'Either way, I have to tell the Master and get out of here.' Billy noticed Leroy overthinking, but didn't say anything about it. "What do you all think of my plan?" Casity nodded yes to it, Brava nodded, the skinny tuxedo man nodded, the man wearing the sheriff badges nodded, and finally, it was up to David. "Is there a problem David? Do you wish to propose what you think?" Leroy watched David nervously, he could tell that David looked as if he didn't want to agree, this made Leroy start to trust him. Suddenly, David nodded, looking as ashamed as ever. "Well then, our attack will start in 3 days. Prepare yourselves, men." All the men and women stood up with serious expressions, including David. Billy stayed in his seat however as they rose. "We promise not to let you down, Billy." He nodded in the shadows.

Once the meeting was over, the men left the building and went their separate ways, last ones to leave were Leroy and David, but just before they could leave the door, Billy spoke. "David, before you leave, I have something to discuss with you." David looked afraid, he nodded. "Alright, sir." Billy then looked at Leroy. "Oh and Suden, please leave the room as what I am discussing with him is indeed private." Leroy didn't want to leave, and David gave off that face that he didn't want him to either. "You'll just be a minute, right?" Billy answered. "Of course, I apologize if I am disrespecting you in any way." Leroy decided to go through with it. "Thank you, you're fine though." Leroy proceeded to leave the building, but he wasn't done yet. Leroy proceeded to go to the side of the building, he then controlled his hell flames to make his finger hot enough to not start a fire. With it, he proceeded to make a hole on the side of the building that he could use to listen to their conversation. Leroy listened as best he could.

Billy: During that meeting, you seemed a bit different than your usual self.

David: Oh, it's nothing, it's just. I never thought I would get this far in life, one of the heads of the business.

Billy: In my opinion, I believe you are more than worthy to be the new leader of the company.

*David Smiles Nervously*

David: Thanks, sir.

*Billy looks at him with that demonic smile, essentially giving him acknowledgment*

David: Ok...well...I'm gonna go, alright?

Billy: Don't forget to prepare for the attack.

*David exits room*

Leroy thinks to himself that it went well, but then he heard more voices, he proceeded to listen through the hole again.

Billy: I want you to follow David's Stagecoach, make sure he doesn't get far.

*Casity Nods*

Casity: You can count on me, boss.

As soon as Leroy heard that, he decided it was time to leave, now.
