What Do You Want?

'If it wasn't for my skills and my supporting constellation,' Seol-hwa's eyes went towards her own trembling hands, 'I would've already died by now.'

"You've already done more than enough," Seol-hwa looked up and saw Haru smile, "So rest a little."

"Yes…" Seol-hwa didn't argue back and just nodded.

There wasn't much to talk about here, she was in no shape to continue and she had severed her role till Pil-du, who was another damage dealer arrived.

And most importantly...

'I think I stood true to his trust,' Seol-hwa thought but shook her head, 'No ….this still may not be good enough.' In her mind even if she had helped here, it wasn't much not to mention that she was now fully out of commission for the rest of this task, which is why…

'I have to …do better next time.' And while Seol-hwa was thinking about this, Dok-ja was watching them from a distance.

'That team is turning into something more ridiculous by the second,' Dok-ja nearly thought about quitting and just joining Haru's group as well, 'I mean who wouldn't?'

Even with just the people here this group was broken, even having two out of the Ten evils from the original working side by side.

But this wasn't all as the real powerhouses of the groups weren't even here, they were working to keep the Ichthyosaurs from swarming the place a distance away from the bridge.

'It will surely be a comfortable bus ride if I just sit down,' Dok-ja sighed looking at the people who were going on the slide.

There was nothing wrong with wanting to not work hard, if someone else can fight then you should let them. That's how humans are unless something affects their lives, they will not care.

'But this…' Dok-ja's entire life was this novel which had now turned into reality, the novel that kept him alive all those years, he kept living to see Jung-hyuk's journey and, 'I still haven't seen the ending,' That is why, standing back and letting someone else take the wheel was out of option for Dok-ja.

Since he was the one who had seen his entire journey, he was the only one who knew what Jung-hyuk had been through. And that is why…

'I have to do it with my own hands,' Dok-ja thought as a soft breeze brushed his face making his close his eyes, 'I don't want to see an ending made by someone else.'

"What's with this weird atmosphere and pose?" It was then that Soo-young's scornful voice came, "Are you in the middle of a monologue or something?"

"I… was just enjoying the breeze," Dok-ja looked away as Soo-young narrowed her eyes, "Anyway, where were you?" That is why he switched the topic.

"Oh nothing," This time Soo-young looked away whistling while Dok-ja's eyes narrowed to a slit.

'What is she up to?' Dok-ja knew that she was doing something, she went missing about an hour ago and he soon found out why that happened.

"..." Dok-ja deadpanned looking at the new group of people who had arrived.

They consisted of the second and third combat teams of Zenobia's group along with the support group, they were led by none other than Sang-ah herself. And their job was…

"You…. Really?" Dok-ja looked at back Soo-young, as he saw her avatars help the group transport the equipment and other items.

"Get off my case," Soo-young's face scrunched up since she had to do what was needed.

'It isn't that I blame her,' Dok-ja can understand her willingness to make a good impression by helping but, 'You could've at least told me about it.' What he didn't like was how she just went and did it on her own, while he also needed some opportunity to get the brownie points.

'I guess there will be more opportunities,' Dok-ja shrugged and started to help since it was still not too late, 'All of the coins I invested in strength will come into use now, seems kind of sad now that I think about it.'

"Hey, you go and play with these monsters again, I need to recover my Mana," Pil-du said after an hour of just straight-up shooting the Ichthyosaurs and…

"No keep at it," Haru just denied it, because even if he did recover, both he and Hae-in can't move now.

"What? Are you playing with me?" But Pil-du of course didn't get that, "If I completely run out of Mana that will turn into a more troublesome situation." And it wasn't like he was doing this on purpose, he was saving a sizable amount of mana for emergencies, while Haru is down there he will recover and give cover fire to lessen his burden.

But of course, there was another way around it.

"Use a Mana potion," Haru said and Pil-du looked at him with a frown, it wasn't that he couldn't use them but.

"They are too expensive," Pil-du wasn't the type to spend money, especially coins, since it was the most important item currently.

"Oh, I'll pay to keep on using," But Haru had no such restraints, "Just tell me how many you used later, kay?" He had too many to care for them and it wasn't like he had any use of them right now.

'Potions aren't that expensive, they are like 400 coins a piece,' Zenobia told Haru about the prices in the Dokkaebi shop, 'It is a good thing that she got access to it thanks to the Constellation that was interested in her.' This was his plan honestly, if they get enough attention then they can receive the privileges.

That is how the system was set here, so Haru was going to use it without any doubts.

'But there should always be a balance,' Haru thought turning to Pil-du.

"If you have enough Mana then you can use your skills and stigmas for longer," Pil-du stopped hearing those words, "This will cause for their levels to rise, and make you more powerful," Haru smiled as Pil-du frowned. "And since I am paying for it, there isn't any loss in it for you now is there?"

"Here, 20,000 coins in advance, tell me when you run out," Haru said transferring the coins and, that was the last nail.

"I am going to make you regret making that deal," Pil-du turned around, and started to blast the ichthyosaurs with newfound vigor.

"Sure Sure," Haru was as laid back as ever watching everything going smoothly.

' For now that is…' Haru thought looking at the long string of messages in front of him.

They belonged to none other than the numerous Constellations who were watching him at this moment.

Those numerous eyes that have been following him all this while, he only had one question for them…

'What is it that you truly want?' Haru thought while time slowly passed.

Most of the equipment was passed over the ice bridge as Pil-du, the other ranged attackers kept on picking on the monsters in the river that were weakened by Pil-du making the whole process swift for them as they picked on the monsters that were able to escape his rapid barrage.

Everything had proceeded as planned, and the main reason why there were no problems was…

'Good thing there has been no warning so far,' Jin-ah sighed in relief, she had also switched to what Alea was doing to not break the bar that had been set.

'My idea was perfect,' Alea was proud of herself for that one, she had slowly increased the thickness, and the number of vines, which were literally covering the entire arc for support.

Jin-ah did the same to make sure that the bridge didn't fall apart, while increasing the thickness of the ice slide and spreading it below the tracks for stability. So that it could handle the weight of the equipment that came later.

But both of them had a single complaint about this, and it was a very obvious one.

'Would it kill them to make better-tasting potions?!' They were pissed because there was no other choice, they had to drink this weird potion till their stomachs were bloated in order to maintain a steady flow of magic.

'I feel like my taste buds are burned,' Jin-ah groaned, but because of this, she had an idea.

'I am complaining to Haru about this…' Jin-ah smirked, since that way, 'I'll get something good for this inconvenience, Hehe~.'
