His Words?

"What?" The current Jung-hyuk had no idea of what was going through Yoo-sung's mind, but there was someone who could partially understand her struggle.

"There is only one thing I can tell you, your third regression ends here and so will the next one," Light emerged from Yoo-sung's hand.

Jung-hyuk was surprised but he was able to pull out his sword in time. Though the beam was more powerful, a crater formed below his feet and the momentum sent him flying.

Not caring for him further, Yoo-sung turned her eyes towards Queresha and the rest.

The reason their group did not interfere so far could be explained in two ways. The first way was Kanae and Alea's reason, they were trying to gather as much information as they could to understand things, and then came the second kind.

"Do we have to face that?" Hee-won gripped her sword.

The intimidation from Yoo-sung was unfiltered, it was like an apex predator walking among a pack of sheep. Nothing before this had given her this feeling of dread. Ji-hye rushed to look after Jung-hyuk while Hyun-sung wanted to rush forward, both of them felt fear too.

"Who are you again?" But Yoo-sung's eyes were fixed on the one that walked up to her.

"Hmm, so you've never met me before? That's rather interesting," Queresha didn't flinch even with most of the Beast lord's intent on her.

"This is the first time I have seen you… something changed this round didn't it?" Yoo-sung muttered.

She didn't expect Jung-hyuk to get off with just a moderate injury from her attack, and now there were new people behind him.

The most interesting one among them was the woman standing before her, she had a similar aura to her. The Aura of a Lord class, though what she did not know was Queresha was something beyond that.

Her body used to host the Monarch of Insects and Plagues, the first of its kind that created that was the origin. But that was but a past, she now had control of her body even if the abilities and grandeur stayed with her.

"Many things have indeed changed here than what you might know," She said calmly.

Yoo-sung knew she was missing a huge chuck of information to understand what happened, from the way this woman spoke she seemed to have an idea about her circumstances. The only way for her to know of this would be hearing from Jung-hyuk, and he was not one with loose lips.

It was then that she had formed the assumption that she was among the new pawns that Jung-hyuk had acquired. But he told them about the regression and opened a part of him, something that he did not do to her and her companions until much later.

Some of them even died without knowing what they were fighting for. She had to witness it all, and in the end, she too was sacrificed.

Ether gathered with her grasp as the light was now aimed at Queresha and the ones standing behind her, she did not know what Jung-hyuk had built in this world but it didn't matter.

"I will destroy everything," She declared.

"Then I will have to stop you," But Queresha's shield dispersed the beam. Smaller parts of the light crashed onto the land and left deep scars as the others were fast enough to avoid them.

"Stop me?" To Yoo-sung those words sounded strange as they held no hostility; rather there was a hint of care in them that she hadn't felt for a long time.

But even with her sensitivity to emotions, Yoo-sung was too blinded by anger to see anything. Seething in rage she raised her hand up high as space around his distorted.

"I would like to see you try," She said.

Monster Gate, the main feature of the Legend-grade attribute Beast Lord. The numerous Beasts domesticated by her in the travels across dimensions were now released as nightmares on Earth.

"Tear, Break, Destroy… It is time for a Disaster." Her orders were absolute for them.

Many 7th-grade and 6th-grade species could be seen in that horde. There were even some comparable to the 5th-grade fire dragon.

The Island was trampled over as waves flooded the Han River. As Yoo-sung said she was about to trample everything within the Seoul dome, whether they were related to Yoo Jung-hyuk or not didn't matter any longer.

The beasts wanting to go south were interrupted by the rest of the group, as the northern front was ready for their end of the problem.

"Come here Bitches! It is time for you all to taste the Scorching Flaming Fist of Hellfire!!" Unsurprisingly, the one leading the mad charge was Kim Nam-woon.

For the first time he was allowed to run wild, and he took full advantage of it. The landscape was covered in Black flames—the signature stigma of his supporting constellation—burning beasts and buildings alike as he cackled.

"He has that Ichon covered, we'll move towards Han-gang Park and form a defensive line along the way," Zenobia led the forces in the other direction with as many kings as they could gather. Thanks to what Haru had done it was a much easier task even when he wasn't present.

The main unit was yet to arrive but they should fare well in the meantime. Watching her march towards the beasts with a spear in hand the younger Yoo-sung tried to catch up.

"I'll come too," She said with pleading eyes.

"No, I already humored you enough to bring you here. Any further is not possible," Zenobia wanted to leave Yoo-sung back at the base where the last line of defense was.

But it wasn't a viable option. She knew how hard it was for Yoo-sung to understand that she still couldn't help in this situation. That feeling of helplessness is more crushing than anything, but she had to overcome it. After all, she wasn't alone, others were fighting for her.

And Yoo-sung knew, Queresha made it a point for her to know how far Haru was going for her sake, and how much the others were doing as well. She understood that right now she wasn't fit for combat, but her eyes kept looking in the direction of the small island in the middle of the turbulent river overrun by Beasts.

There was this feeling that crushed her. Why, How, and What caused it? She had no idea about any of it. But she had felt something similar, the moment she killed her beloved puppy to survive, and when she stole food from others and they got hurt because of it.

The feeling of sadness, guilt, and regret weighing on her chest, what she felt like at that time was something like a boulder pressing on her. But this was akin to a mountain trying to crush into dust, it was far more than what she could imagine and there was no sense of unfamiliarity.

Yoo-sung wasn't alone, she met people, nice people. They helped her and didn't leave her behind when she couldn't keep up, but…

"Are you…alone?" Her words were drowned in the endless chaos around her.

.

"How long do you intend to stare in that direction?" Queresha asked.

The Beast Lord turned her eyes. She had made quick work of the beasts sent her way, their dead bodies still convulsed behind her as she stepped closer.

"What did you mean before?" Yoo-sung couldn't get those words out of her head.

Queresha said she'll stop her, not kill her but stop her. Like she wanted to save her, and held no animosity towards her. Why was that the conclusion that arrived in her mind? What was the reason she chose to ask this? It was nothing but fleeting curiosity about how she could be this way at a moment when her life was in danger.

"It is because of his words," Queresha answered.

"Who's… words?" For some reason, Yoo-sung couldn't connect the one she mentioned to Yoo Jung-hyuk even if she wanted to.

"The words of the one I follow, worry not you will meet him soon," This was confusing Yoo-sung, she didn't know how but this made sense to her.

But staring at her indifferent face made Yoo-sung's stomach churn. She had the same face as him, both looked down on the world like it was something replaceable. They had no regard for anyone aside from what they wanted to do.

"You think you can succeed in that?" Yoo-sung's claws were already reaching for Queresha's face. However, the intent to rip that detestable face-off was foiled by a translucent blue film.

"What I think or not doesn't matter. He gave his words, and it is my duty to make them a reality."
