It's been a peaceful few days for Riveria, being pleased with the girl she had taken under wing having a similar thirst for magic as she did. The other young teen she had come to care for has also recently levelled up to 3 and slowly calmed down with her dungeon diving, realising that she has companions that are capable of helping her instead of charging towards her goals alone. These two have also grown closer over time, with Lefiya only breaking her shy demeanour when the subject of magic or Aiz comes up.
Continuing on from the recently opened Hostess of Fertility towards the Twilight Manor and shaking her head of these thoughts Riveria casts a quick glance around her due too feeling like someone had just cast a glance at her. This slightly unnerved her because she is already considered the top mage and a high ranking adventurer at that, meaning that if someone can look at her without her finding the source was cause of great concern. Increasing her pace towards the Manor so at to get somewhere safer and report this feeling to the rest of her familia so they may increase their vigilance.
Seeing the Manor getting closer and seeing the person who was stationed as guard waving at her she let out a small sigh of relief she didn't know she was holding. The guard seeing their strongest mage approaching with an increased pace formed a frown on their face and put their hand on the hilt of their sword, becoming increasingly vigilant in the case anything might happen. The moment they were within earshot of one another Riveria froze in place and the guard got into and attack position with their other hand on a signal flair, thinking 'to unnerve the most powerful elf in Orario the most I can do is slow down whoever it is'.
What the guard didn't know was that Riveria's eyes were as wide as saucers looking at the amount of magic in the air increasing and forming a small vortex just a little ways in front of her. Any fear or vigilance she had was replaced by pure curiosity for this magic anomaly taking place right in front of her. She knows it wasn't cast magic because there was no magic circle that formed, meaning that whatever is happening in front of her is a natural phenomenon. The magic before her was getting denser as time passed and 5 minutes had already passed with a small ball of pure magic was forming before her. Riveria wanted to take a closer look at this small sphere but found that her feet were unable to take her closer, looking towards the guard it seemed they had the same problem as her making her realise that it must be the sphere keeping a zone clear as a form of buffer.
The sphere had grown to the size of a basketball when everything simply froze and got sucked into the centre like a small vacuum was created and sucked all the remaining magic around towards it. Realisation dawned on Riveria that whatever was taking place was coming to a close, she pointed her staff towards the ball ready for anything. The guard already prepared for whatever may happen looked towards the high elf and thanked themselves in their heart that she was prepared to face this thing together with them.
The strangest sound either of them had heard sounded out from the sphere of pure magic and then as if the abyss itself tore a hole through the sky the ball expanded. It grew larger and larger until a full grown person could fit through the darkness. Causing Riveria to raise an eyebrow and the guard to clench down on the flare ready to signal for reinforcements. What neither of them was of the hole in the sky to collapse in on itself, allowing them to move forward again. The moment the magic completely dispersed and young girl could be seen floating limply in the sky. As if the strings of a marionette had been cut, the girl started falling towards the floor prompting Riveria to rush ahead so as to catch the girl before she may injure herself and the guard dropped the flare to the ground in surprise, not believing the events that had taken place before them. Catching the small girl in her arms Riveria was staring wide eyed at the girl, unbelieving of what was in front of her. A young girl with horns on her head and wings on her back was unconscious within her arms, what really threw her for a loop though was the fact that if she was blindfolded and asked to identify the little girl before her, she would call her a high elf with a strong affinity for nature. The guard who was watching all this take place before them saw a red streak shoot past their peripheral vision and explode red in the air above them, realising that the flare that was in their hand must have hit the ground butt first causing it to launch received a scowl from the elf before them and had a sheepish look on their face.
It took only two minutes for a pallum with a spear and a dwarf with a war hammer to come charging out of the large building with a werewolf shirt on their heels and the rest of the familia right behind him, all their weapons drawn and ready for combat. The familia goddess Loki came out last with a scowl on her face ready to trade some harsh words with the person who dared attacking her home. When the captain of the Familia, Finn, saw no enemy around he visibly relaxed but still kept his guard up. Gareth Made his wat towards their elf companion to provide her any support she may need but slowed down to a walk when he saw her relaxed posture and holding a young girl in her arms. Riveria gave a signal to those closest to her that she wasn't in any imminent danger and that she was to be led through. Finn walked past her to the approaching adventures from the city's side hoping to earn favour from their familie by 'helping' them out and Gareth remained by the elf's side casting a few glances at the unconscious girl. As the two adventurers approached their goddess they received a questioning look from her prompting Riveria to recount all the events that had happened up to this point as well as the magic she sensed from the girl herself.
Looking at the girl in question Loki couldn't help but have a small smirk form on her face thinking she might just have first dibs on another interesting child. "Bring her in and see that she recovers from whatever it is that happened. Notify me the moment she wakes up" we're the orders given by the goddess. With those being her final words everyone else returned to their rooms to prepare for the next day, they few closest to the executives were casting a few curious glances towards the girl but said nothing. Having made arrangements for an extra bed to be placed in her room Riveria took it as her personal responsibility to ensure that the girl returned to peak health and was not frightened when she woke up. This action only seemed to reaffirm the nickname her familia members came up with for her, calling her 'mamma' whenever she was around. Loki seemed to be encouraging this action much to the irritation of the elf and a few new bruises in the shape of her staff on a few people's heads. Riveria would cast a healing spell 3 times a day every meal time and a low grade healing potion every lunch time. Loki once joked that the child would owe the familia once she woke up regardless of the outcome only to receive another bonk on the head from the elf with a scowl on her face and proceeded to reprimand the goddess for trying to extort children.
Following this routine, a week soon passed and the girl started showing signs of waking up. During this time Riveria had already examined her body to the fullest degree and reported that the girl should be waking up soon. This news caused Loki to come and visit during lunch times only to drink a cup of tea with Riveria and then leave to avoid any other duties she may have. During this time Riveria didn't leave her room and proceeded to look for the girl's race in old tomes and further her study of magic in silence. In typical Riveria fashion she got so engrossed in what she was studying that she failed to notice the girl's eyes slowly open and even let out a small yawn. Once the girl's eyes fully focused on where she woke up, she froze not recognising the room or the woman sitting with her back towards her. Slowly lifting the sheet off of her to not make any noise when the girl wanted to quietly get out of bed she felt a weight on her back, nothing uncomfortable but definitely foreign. Looking behind her and seeing massive wings caused her to have a minor panic attack thinking that she might have been kidnapped and experimented on. Silently moving towards the door and turning the knob slowly so as not to disturb the woman at the desk and muttering things under her breath she opened the door praying to every god she knows that it doesn't creak.
Moving through the open door now and slowly closing it again the girl took a silent step back and let out a sigh of relief. Turning on her heel wanting to make a quick getaway before her absence is noticed, she came face to face with a short woman with red hair, a frown on her face and slits for eyes. The girl's eyes went wide and she let out a high pitched "Eeep" before bolting in the opposite direction not even thinking about the consequences. 'Is the girl afraid of people in general, or gods?' were the only thoughts going through Loki's mind before running after the winged girl.
Turning a corner on the corridor the girl is running in she came upon a spiral staircase going down to hopefully the ground floor. A few steps away from possible escape a snout first came into view before it was followed by a face and the rest of the body. The girl seeing a bipedal wolf look at her with surprise and already bracing himself to catch her was the breaking point for the already panicked girl and caused her to pass out right as she reached the first step.
Loki soon turned the corner and saw a confused Bete with the girl at his feet unconscious and couldn't help but laugh out loud as if she had just seen the funniest thing in the last decade. Riveria coming up behind her goddess and seeing the situation couldn't help but release a sigh. As she was about to pick up the girl Loki made a comment that only received a growl from Bete in response.
"It only took one look at your face, HAHAHAHA, and she simply collapsed. Wait till the others hear about this."
