Chapter 102

Hunter's POV

I left the apartment in hurry before I would say anything unpleasant to Layla. I don't know why she had to mention that woman's name in the conversation. We were talking about us and then suddenly, she had to ruin the mood through that.

"Woman," I muttered grudgingly as I started the car and drove away from there. I only went to the nearest pub to drown my annoyance there.  The bartender approached me and I asked for something strong.

"I didn't know you'd be in this place."

I turned to my right and saw Harriet sitting beside me in the counter. On her hand, was tequila drink that she barely finished.

"Leave me alone," I said.

"I got here first and you didn't even see me. What kind of friends are you?" Harriet said.

"Who says I'm your friend?" I said and gulped from the cold drink that I had in my hand.

"Ouch." Harriet said fondly. "I guess the dinner didn't go well seeing you're here rather than be with Layla."
