Just this once

Tristan carried four bags in both hands while she took just one, Liliana smiled and was impressed by how strong he was. No, she shouldn't be bewildered by him. He had got to apologize for hurting her again, but this time should be very different, his apology this time, should be more generous and persuading.

When they got to her door, he dropped the bags.

"No, wait don't go," she said. Tristan looked confused, he wasn't leaving yet. Ohh...she wanted him close to her now...sexy landlady.

Liliana hated that feature about herself, she gets angry but after a little while, she begins to look for her anger and hate but would never find them. Tristan hadn't even apologized yet, but she had forgiven him.

He stood there with his hands holding both his waist. Liliana stared at him not knowing when her lips sold her out. Was he being nice because he felt bad about what he did to her? Well, if that was the case, he should just apologize with a sweet gift and he will receive her forgiveness though she had forgiven him.

Tristan gestured for her to unlock the door. "Ohh, right," she returned and unlocked the door. What was wrong with her?

When they got in, she threw herself to a settee with a big exhausted sigh. Oh, she was so frazzled.

Tristan looked at her, "Uhm, where are you putting these bags?" He asked bringing her tired and bored gaze his way.

Liliana peered at him for a while thinking about how he was going to help with those things inside the bags since he was being nice and paying for his sins. Then, it struck her mind, that her neighbor was a sorcerer! He performs magic even if it was black magic at least it would help in some way possible because now, she was just so tired, why?

Liliana waved her hand for him to come to sit close to her but instead, he stood and looked down at her.

"As you can see Tristan, I'm very much tired, so can you use your magic thing to..." Then she paused when she felt a hot liquid dropping out of her. Ohh, the period had arrived! What she hated but needed to pass through. Liliana pressed her lips and then up on her feet. "I'll be right back," she notified him before turning away and leaving his sight.

Tristan listened to her thoughts and found himself smiling, she was a woman after all.

When Liliana got to the bathroom, she did what was necessary and then realized why she had been so tired and now she felt like sleeping but what about arranging those items in their places? Ohh! What a stressful day.

With her no-strength body, she went back to Tristan who was looking around her house. She rubbed her hands before going to him. He knew she was getting closer to him but couldn't pinpoint how close until he turned around to see that she was actually on his toes!

Liliana was about to fall straight to the ground but he broke her fall by putting his arm behind her waist so she balanced on his arm, he was so strong. She looked at him in fear and then stood straight before straightening her short black gown.

"Thank you," she whispered. 'I know you aren't so bad, you still care' she said Inwardly.

'I don't, just didn't know what to do then...just get out of my head' he battled with his thoughts after hearing hers.

"Tristan," she calls his name like she was approaching her father.

"What is it? You asked me to stay."

"It's about your supernatural power, you see I'm so tired and I can't put all this in their places so..."

"I'm not helping," he interrupted.

"Please Tristan, I'm feeling really tired, just help me out with this," she pleaded. "Besides you have magic, you can make use of your magic...right?" She had that sleepy, tired, and pleading look on her face.

"So? I don't want to," he utter decisively.

'Why must you always make me beg?' she glared at him when he wasn't looking and when he did, she faked a smile. "Please, please, please, just help me with this, I'll be very grateful...just this once," she exaggerated with squinted eyes.

Tristan stared at her for a while, arguing with his thoughts. 'help her'

'i don't want to'

'do it'

'no!'

'Just look at her cute eyes and she's tired and on her period. Just this once like she said'

'uuurgh' he groaned.

"Alright, just this once...Let's go," he bent down to take just four bags like before, she gave him a sweet smile, the smile that causes chaos in his heart. He looked away immediately, what was she doing to him? Or was he feeling vile about what he did to her that night? He sure did punish her, and it must have pained her a lot.

Tristan was stealing glances at her as they both led their legs to her kitchen. She must have been in pain but here she was standing next to the man, the main cause of her entire pain. Suddenly, this feeling Tristan didn't understand suffused him greatly and settled in his midsection causing displeasure. Guilt then found its way into his gut and he wanted to apologize the way he did the last time when they shared their first kiss.

Tristan jerked out of his never-ending yet flustering thoughts in his head. Be yourself, Tristan! Liliana was just a distraction to him and his mission.

...

"No magic?" She asked when he was placing them one by one as she sat on a chair eating Pringles. He turned in her direction and threw to her that exasperating look.

"Stop asking questions," he told her, she gave him an 'okay!' look and returned to eating the chips, soon Liliana fell asleep with her head on the table and her hand outstretched next to her head.

Tristan looked at her and then cursed himself. What was he doing here? He should just leave... Now! But instead, he found himself figuring out where and where to place the items. He didn't know anything about cooking and even some of the items in his hands, the names, he knew not.

He kept taking glances at her with his heart beating fast, heart beating fast?! That was odd, too odd! He groaned and filled a cup with water before gulping it all at once and afterwards, ended it with a sigh. He glanced at her again and shook his head before finishing what he started.

When he was done, he was about to leave but argued with himself again, her neck will hurt if she sleeps that way but how was that his concern?! Just take her to her room and be a gentleman. Tristan rolled his eyes and went to his sleeping landlady.

When he was close to her and ready to carry her, she reluctantly open her eyes to see his hands around her.

'huh?' Liliana stared at him and then smiled. "I'm still sleeping," Liliana said before resting her head back on the table and closing her eyes.

Tristan shook his head at her kiddish demeanor, he wasn't blind, he saw her just now when she woke up.

Wait, had she been awake the whole time as he arranged her kitchen?

'Why isn't he carrying me?' Liliana wondered and then opened one of her eyes to see he wasn't with her anymore. She then opened her eyes to be sure, and he wasn't in the room anymore!

"Are you looking for me?" Tristan asked. Liliana flinched and looked around searching for where the voice was coming from but found nothing. Something was wrong with her, she closed her eyes and rested her head again. 'just want to sleep' she told herself.

Tristan then made himself visible and carried her. Yes, something was wrong, absolutely wrong with his brain and every part of him, even his hand that was carrying her!

Liliana was surprised when she saw him. "Forgotten that you are a sorcerer," she whispered, leaning on his arms, it was comforting and she likes the ride-like movement to her bed.

When he dropped her, he could hear a thank you from her mind and bit his lips to stop him from smiling. What can he do to stop himself from being this nice to her? Nothing!

He tried to kill her but had no success!

He ignored her but he finds himself being with her!

Gosh, how can he get himself back? Suddenly, it struck his mind, who was that man? He could tell he wasn't human because he stopped him from hearing what they were discussing and he couldn't read Liliana's mind when she was with him that means that man was also a demon but what does he...

Tristan ran his fingers through his hair. He couldn't take her life so another demon can. He knew that his Dad must know what was going on in his life and had sent that demon to come to help him with what he couldn't do.

Tristan stared at Liliana who was already fast asleep, the fact was that he didn't want to kill her not that he couldn't. Yes, he had admitted to himself now that he didn't want his Landlady dead.
