Dawn arrived, the sunlight was blocked by the thick curtains covering the window to Tristan's room. He opened his eyes to see Liliana in his arms and also hugging him. That must be because she was asleep. Tristan stared down at her cute face with her hair sprayed on his arm. He didn't know why he suddenly smiled at the sight of her cute sleeping face.
He lifted his hand and shifted the hair right In front of her face and tucked it behind her ear. His hand itched to caress her cheek and since she was asleep, he went ahead and stroked her cheek with his thumb.
What have you done to me, Liliana? He asked in his mind and recalled the kiss they shared last night, how wild it was. He didn't know when he opened up to her and when he realized, he chose the kiss over protecting his identity. But it was totally worth it.
Thankfully, she didn't view that memory that would shatter her and break the relationship they shared, even when he hadn't accepted that they shared a relationship.
Now, how was he going to answer her questions about how the orphanage explosion concerned him? He needed to think of a lie or either deny that he said that. Liliana was smart, she wouldn't buy that so easily.
He stared at her face in thoughts but then, he heard her mind and shut his eyes closed. That way was better.
Liliana growled softly as she decided to roll over on the bed she thought was hers, but as she laid her hand on her side she felt that that was the edge of the bed, she paused and looked down to see a black rug. She sighed and ran her fingers through her hair. Where was she now?
Every morning when she wakes up, she always thinks about what happened yesterday so, she recalled the kiss first and immediately looked at her other side to see Tristan asleep. She felt disappointed, she slept in bed with a man?!
She jerked off immediately and decided to leave but Tristan pulled her hand before she could turn away. "Liliana," he called her.
He knew it was best to just act like he was still asleep but he didn't want her to leave without having a word with her and it was best to know what she thought of him. "Are you leaving?"
Liliana turned to him fully with her brows up. "So you weren't sleeping?"
"I was until you stood up."
"Okay," Tristan saw she wasn't convinced but he let it slide.
"Where are you going?" He asked.
"Out of your house, it's not proper for a lady to be found in a man's house if he isn't her brother or her husband," she enunciated.
Tristan laughed. "What if he's her neighbor or boyfriend?"
Liliana didn't know the answer to that. "As long he isn't her husband or brother, it's wrong," she stated and walked away.
Tristan found himself chasing after her. Oh, what did that start?
"So, where are you off to?" He asked.
"To church," she replied when she was already at the door. Then she turned about. "Will you come along?"
"I don't go to church," Tristan halted at his doorstep.
Liliana threw him a bad look. "What was I expecting anyway?" She muttered to herself. "Whatever, just don't ever suggest we drink again, I don't want to end up in bed with you," she said strictly and then, realized how she actually sounded.
"What about the kiss? You don't want to kiss me again?" Tristan asked.
Liliana couldn't say Yes or no as she recalled how his lips tasted last night. "Just don't suggest we drink," she said and left his sight before he asks another question.
Tristan's gaze followed her with that worried and exhausted look. Letting everything to her last night was relieving, he felt less burdened and this morning, he was glad she didn't ask about the vision she saw. He didn't know how to explain to her and for some reason, he didn't want to lie to her.
Guilt filled every part of him, he was responsible for her parents' death and she kept smiling at that person. What if one day, she finds out? How would he. . .?
Whenever he see her flash him that sweet smile, his heart melted but at the same time, he felt guilty.
He wanted to not care but she had turned him into someone who cared.
Liliana got ready for church and walked out of her house after cleaning up for yesterday. She glanced at Tristan's way to see if he was sitting on his rock chair but he wasn't on his chair. She clearly remembered the vision she saw but didn't ask Tristan.
Liliana didn't know why but she felt she shouldn't question him so early. They'd talk about it some other time. She turned away and left without her car. Liliana was walking down the street quietly until a car stopped right by her side. Liliana tucked her hair behind her ear as she peered at the car to see Andrew dropping from it.
Suddenly, she felt uncomfortable and wished she could turn back time to when she noticed the car so she wouldn't halt but even if that happens, it wouldn't change anything because Andrew would chase her.
Liliana faked a smile as she squinted her eyes because of the sun as she watched him approach her. "Andrew," she greeted.
"Why do I have the feeling you are not happy to see me?" Andrew knew, not felt. He knew how much Liliana disliked him but lady! He was only after killing her that was all. So, he needed to be close to her.
"That's a strong feeling," Liliana spoke, not wanting to admit to it.
"Alright, where are you heading to?" He asked.
"To the church," she said with gritted teeth.
Andrew nodded thoughtfully, he had never entered a church so maybe this would be his first time. "Can I come along?"
"Sure, you'd enjoy your time in church," Liliana felt glad about him coming along when Tristan couldn't.
"Hop in then," he opened his car door to let her in.
Liliana glanced at him and flashed that fake smile before going in. The next moment, his driver drove away.
