The Beginning of Something Great

"Fuck, you're fired Tanner!" Jui and Saka heard off in the distance.

As they released from their embrace, the pair saw Micah coming towards them. Even though he just lost his first match in South Korea, he didn't look at angry as Saka imagined. Instead, he had a wide grin that fell upon his face. What was he up to?

That question was answered as Micah walked right between him and Jui: his hand outstretched toward his teammate. Saka couldn't help but fold his arms in annoyance. He didn't like it that this guy was ruining his mood.

"That was killer back there! Your game play is on another level, Jui." Micah smiled.

"Wow," Jui said, in shock as he took Micah's hand, "thanks, Jonah!"

It was almost like a dream come true for Jui. Yes, he knew Micah was a competitor. Heck, he knew that he hated to lose, but he wasn't treating Jui with disgust. Quite the contrary, he seemed rather intrigued by his gameplay. Maybe, Jui thought, just maybe they can be friends. He'd actually love to play some more with Micah. He was sure that he could learn a lot from him.

However, all of Jui's thoughts began to fade as Micah leaned in close to him. Jui could feel his breath upon his neck, making him feel uncomfortable.

"What would you say to partnering up with me? I think you and I would be a great team. Hell, maybe we could even be more than teammates." Micah whispered.

Jui couldn't help his face reddening at the sound of Micah's voice. It almost seemed seductive. The fact that the Key Wielder was hitting on him was more than he could take. It was way out of left field and right in front of Saka. The real reason Jui was uncomfortable was the fact that he wasn't out to Saka yet. Yes, they had hung out together for a while, yes, they just won the tournament, but seeing the irritation on his face made Jui think that Saka would begin to hate him...just as his friends had. And honestly that would be worse than him saying no to his idol.

"Um...well, you see..." Jui started.

Before Jui could finish, he felt strong arms pull him away from Micah. To his surprise, he looked up to see that he was in Saka's arms. His face turned red. No...no way! Did Saka really just―

"Look, Jonah." Saka grunted, "No one likes a sore loser. So, get this through your thick skull, Jun is with me and that's not up for discussion."

Saka turned to look at Jui, who was still blushing with disbelief. "Right, Jun?"

"Right." Jui mumbled, as Saka turned his attention back to Micah.

Micah began to laugh, which made Jui take his glance away from Saka. "Pet names huh? Damn...should've figured someone as cute as you would've had a boyfriend."

Jui's face nearly popped, what?! Saka his boyfriend?!

Saka's face turned red, taking his arm away from Jui. "He's not my boyfriend!'

"You keep telling yourself that," Micah smirked, as he began to walk away from the pair, "But Jui, if you reconsider, send me a friend request on Zeem. I'd love to hear from ya!"

Jui was too astonished by everything that had happened to speak, but he heard Saka should "He won't!" after Micah. And honestly that's all it took for Jui to realize that his heart was beating fast...so fast that it took his breath away. Sure, he and Saka weren't dating, but the face taht he kept Jui close made him want to never leave his side.

Saka turned to Jui; his face still red but he was trying to hide it. "Come on, Jun. Let's go get that trophy."

"Uh...yea!" Jui said.

As Jui walked after him, he smiled from ear to ear. The pair got to the award ceremony and were presented the first-place trophy as they smiled at one another and waved to the crowd. As cameras flashed and people shouted Team Fun, all Jui could do was look upon Saka because that day he would cherish forever.

It was the day that started their never-ending friendship.
