FALLING IN PLACE

She struggled to break free from his firm grip.

"Pervert?" Her unexpected choice of words surprised him.

"You call me a pervert when all I want to do is look after you! Here!" He pointed to her stomach. "These bandages are new, which means you redressed the wound because it became open while you were unable to speak. Are you afraid of me or what? I'm not sure why you don't want to talk to me, but you need to talk to someone because if you don't, I doubt those memories will come back to you," Samuel blurted out.

He was about to continue when her pleading voice stopped him.

"Please just let me go," she begged.

He fixed his gaze on her.

He stared at her small round face, she was closing her eyes. Then he took his hands off her.

"I am sorry but can you take me to your grandma?" She requested.

"If you insist," He replied leaving the dining room.

"The mopping stick," she whispered.

"What?" he asked turning back.

"I said, please give me the mopping stick,"

"Don't worry, I will clean that up,"

"But...."

"No buts, just eat up so we can go to the restaurant,"

She quietly went back to the table, while he tidied the floor.

He sat on the bench outside the house after he had cleaned the floor. How could she call him a pervert?

First, she doesn't say anything about her nightmare which may be a sign of her getting her memories.

Now, She doesn't say anything about her health condition.

"I'm ready," Fiona said locking the door behind her.

"Did you forget anything inside?" She asked him.

"No," he answered standing up.

As they drove off to the restaurant, they didn't speak to each other.

"Grandma we are here," Samuel announced as they entered the restaurant.

"Oh dear, you look great, come let me take a closer look at you, you are eating and taking your medicine right?" Grandma asked cheerfully holding Fiona.

Then she turned to Samuel "You have been helpful to her right?"

"He has been very helpful ma," Fiona answered instead.

"Really?"

"Yes, ma,"

"That is good, Nice work Sam," Mrs. Tan remarked.

Then she turned to Fiona "Come with me dear," she took her to the kitchen.

Samuel wanted to join them but he didn't want to interrupt their talk, he hoped she would open up to Grandma.

Bing! His phone beeped, it was time for his class.

He didn't look at his timetable previously, so he went to go school earlier, which made him come back home. He went to the kitchen to inform them he is leaving.

"Am I coming back to take you, ladies, home?" He asked.

"Yes, come by 8, I am closing early today," Grandma replied.

"So, have you gotten any memories?" Grandma asked as Samuel left them.

Fiona drew a pitiful expression and answered, "Not yet ma, just glitches of them."

"Sweetheart, don't hurt yourself by forcing it, and call me Grandma from now, okay?" Grandma held her hands.

"Can I be coming to the restaurant to help?" Fiona asked. She asked because she didn't want to see Samuel every time.

"Dear, it's alright, You need to heal first," Grandma declined.

"But I am fine," Fiona argued.

Grandma chuckled, "You seem to be stubborn but in a good way, I guess you are bored at home, Alright, you can come but you aren't doing any work,"

"Noted Grandma,"

As she was speaking her phone beeped, It was a message.

"Clare's Gate, 2:00 pm tomorrow," The message read, it was from Rogers.

She frowned as she read the message

"Is anything the matter dear?" Grandma asked noticing her change of mood.

"No Grandma, nothing at all" She replied with a quick smile.

Samson goes to his Villa, sitting on his soft couch, he made a phone call but it wasn't connecting.

"Damn Roger," He groaned frustrated.

Trying again, he got the same result, so he got up and drove to the Eston seaport, where he was supposed to collect the package, and his men were already waiting for him to crosscheck it.

When they arrived, one of the sailors handed him a sealed document, which he signed and motioned his men to open the carriage, which was met with whimpers and sobs. Young girls aged 13 to 18 were seated inside, holding hands.

"Bring them to the Cellar," Samson ordered.

"Yes boss," They replied as they carried the girls to the bus amidst their tears and whims.

"Bro! What was it that took you so long?" Samuel yelled as he noticed Alan approaching him, he had even his class and waited for him to finish his.

Alan was one of his colleagues and a PE teacher at the high school. He was a small man with a freckled face.

"I'm sorry, those girls asked for your number and gave me this to give you," Alan explained as he handed him a small gift bag.

"Not again, I told you to stop collecting these things from the students," Samuel sighed as he stared at the bag.

Alan punched him softly, "You should be grateful, I don't even get this," he lamented.

"Should I be grateful for the student's gift?" Samuel enquired, his brow furrowed.

"So, are we going to check out the new basketball ball court?" Alan asked changing the topic.

"No, I am picking up Grandma early today," Samuel answered.

"Shoot! So I am going alone?" Alan pouted.

"Yes," Samuel chuckled answering. Alan held the basketball court as golden and mighty, he had an obsession with playing basketball even though he is short.

"Why are you laughing?" Alan asked with a straight face.

"Because I am about to go home," He replied hailing a cab.

"Wanna come with me to see Grandma?" he added.

"No, I have to go somewhere, later," Alan said.

"Don't look at that court without me," Samuel said as he got into the cab.

"I wouldn't dare," He replied laughing.

Samuel sighed as they drove off. He wanted to tell Alan about the recent happening at his place, and asked for advice if anything, Alan was a good listener and advisor. But he didn't want anyone to know yet.

"I guess I have to figure this out myself," He said as he relaxed on the seat.

A brown-skinned man in the back seat of a limo sat in a dashing black tux, carrying an overwhelming aura that no one could help but feel. He cursed as he looked at his wristwatch, "Damn Serena, we're already late for the party."

"She is coming, sir," his driver said after 30 minutes of waiting with no sign of the Serena.

"I apologize, love." A lady wearing an elegant sassy black off-shoulder gown said as she walked elegantly to the car.

"You know I have to look good for you," She added already seated.

"We're late," he said, with a disapproving expression on his face.

"I apologize, Raven, Let's go," she said with a kiss on his cheek as they drove off.

Melodious music could be heard in the exquisite large hall upon their arrival at Eston's Villa.

Inside, ladies in beautiful gowns and jewelry and men in captivating suits moved gallantly, chatting and discussing among themselves. As they walked inside, everyone's attention was drawn, and a sudden silence filled the magnificent hall.

"Everyone, the Duke!" A man broke the silence before going to meet the couple. Following that, there was a round of applause.

"Once again, Rav, you and your stunning wife made an unforgettable impression." The man grinned.

"Well, what else can we do?" Serena gave the man a sly grin. Raven let out a small laugh.

"Enough chit-chat, Paul; take us to the VIP room," he said.

"Oh yes, let's go".

The guest's gazes were fixed on them as they walked to the VIP room.

"Aren't they?" A lady spoke quietly to another lady, "the owner of Eston's number one pharmaceutical company.

"Yes, they are, Mandy." The other one chipped in.

When they were seated, Paul asked one of the waiters for the wine.

"How's business?" he inquired. "Good, the package has arrived, I sent Samson to get it."

"Excuse me, gentlemen," Serena said as she stood up.

"I heard Samson is quite the dealer, he has been running the ground well," Paul commented smirking.

"Oh Please, Roger is the one doing the whole work. Roger, my elder brother's son remember?" Raven asked as he took a glass of wine from the table.

"Yes, Oliver, God bless his soul, and yes, I remember. I heard from one of my men that a girl went missing in your cellar, and they haven't seen her yet, rumors say she is alive," Paul whispered.

"What!" Raven exclaimed, almost spilling his wine.
