GET TO KNOW YOU

"Do you want to talk to me?" Fiona asked, her eyes widening as she pointed at herself.

"Yes, I'd like to speak with you," Samuel nodded and tilted his head facing inside, to see how Agnes was doing.

"Eric," she said, motioning for him to leave.

"But," Eric wanted to say, but he chose to leave.

"All right, I'll go," He exited the room, leaving them behind.

"Her temperature has dropped, and we tried to keep it down," Fiona said quickly.

"May I come in?" Samuel asked.

"Yes, yes," she said as she moved away from the door to allow him to enter.

"I believe she has a fever," she added as she sat on her bed.

"You think? I guess it was the rain," Samuel said, touching Agnes's forehead.

Even after he explained everything to them, Fiona wanted to ask him how she knew or met her; she was suspicious of her, thinking she was sent by Roger to spy on her.

"She'll be fine by tomorrow," she instead said.

Samuel took a deep breath and exhaled deeply. Why didn't she ask him about Agnes, even though he had already told her? He is aware that she is confused by his recent behavior toward her. Even he is baffled by what he is feeling because everything is moving so quickly. It hasn't even been a week yet!

"You wanted to say something to me," Fiona said as they locked gazes.

"Ah yes yes, I wanted to ehm," Samuel began to stutter. His mind raced; he wasn't supposed to tell her about his feelings; it was far too fast; instead, he would make her fall for him, but he needed to say something.

"What I really wanted to say was..." He nervously scratched his chin.

Fiona's mind also raced; what was he going to tell her? She should leave the house? Why hasn't she regained her memory? Will she accept Eric?

She clenched her teeth at the thought. Why did Eric show up and ruin everything for her?

"Why are you upset? I have yet to say anything, "Samuel inquired, his face befuddled.

"No, I'm not upset; I just thought of something," Fiona said hastily, shaking her hands.

Samuel sighed and sat on the couch near the bed.

"You do realize you just met him, right?" He inquired, his gaze fixed on the door.

Fiona bit her bottom lip. She knew exactly what he was going to ask.

"About that, He was playing, I mean I had just met him, and how could he possibly love me so quickly, he was teasing me, that's all. I had a memory flash that day, so I started crying, and that's why he hugged me to comfort me, that's all. He teased you because he said you have feelings for me, which is impossible. After all, it hasn't been long since you saved me..." She took a breather because she was explaining so quickly.

Samuel looked at her for a moment as she stopped talking and looked down at her feet.

"Tell me about a memory flash you had," He had to start from there because that was the most important issue: whether she had started regaining her memory.

"It was like an accident; all I saw was the light from a truck coming at me," she explained.

"Perhaps what you saw was my truck, so..." He was still talking, then Agnes murmured something they didn't understand.

"We're bothering her," Fiona said quickly. Tonight, she didn't want to answer any more questions.

"You are correct; we will discuss it tomorrow; we will soon be going to the hospital so you can tell Dr. Kim everything,"

Fiona nodded quickly.

She lay on the bed as he left the room.

"What have I gotten myself into?" she mumbled, hitting her head slightly.

-------

Agnes yawned loudly, stretching her hands, confusedly looking around the room.

"This is not the hotel room," she muttered, looking around the room, then a sharp ache replaced her confusion, and she groaned as she gently rubbed her forehead.

″Headache?" A voice asked.

When Agnes heard the voice, she looked over to the couch next to her and saw a lady in a towel standing there, clearly expecting an answer from her.

′′Who are you? "Where am I?" She inquired quickly.

′′You should take a shower," Fiona suggested as she sat on the couch.

Agnes looked at her, puzzled. "Why didn't she answer my question?" she wondered.

Pieces of her memories began to fall into place gradually.

′′Where is Samuel?" She inquired once more with raised eyebrows.

Fiona, who was already dressed and was about to leave the room, turned sharply, "Samuel? He's outside, don't worry, just get ready for breakfast so you can eat," Agnes rubbed her aching forehead.

Samuel knocked on the door; he had just returned from Claire′s road, where he had driven his truck back to the house, and he wanted to check on Agnes.

"Come on in," Fiona said.

As she walked in, she greeted Fiona and narrowed his gaze to Agnes, who was hurrying toward him.

"What happened last night, Samuel? How did I end up here? Is this your house?" She questioned him while cupping his face in her hands.

Samuel quickly removed her hands from his chin and glanced at Fiona before turning back to face her.

"Erm, here's your car key; you drank too much yesterday at the bar where you took me, and you fainted while trying to call your car mechanic, remember?" He explained, still glancing at Fiona. He thought a lot of last night and decided that he wouldn't tell her anything since she has started regaining her memories and that he would protect her from Eric.

"Well, I think I remember, Gosh! My head aches." Agnes sighed as she retrieved her car keys.

"Get dressed and come out, my grandma will make you a hangover tea, Fiona will help you get ready," he said, scanning the room for Fiona, who was not present.

"Who exactly is she?" Agnes looked at him, wide-eyed.

Fiona emerged from the bathroom, having earlier left them to talk, and gone to arrange a bath for Agnes.

"Your bath is ready," she said cheerfully.

Agnes cast a nervous glance at Samuel.

"She is our guest now, more like a family," he replied. "Go on, go," he said, gently patting her shoulder.

Fiona stood there quietly watching them. Agnes approached Fiona and took the towel that had been offered to her and went to the restroom, The tension in the room was palpable as they both stared at each other.

"Has Eric gone?" She broke the silence

"Eric? He must have left the house "Samuel lied, shifting his gaze to the wall.

He knew that Eric was still in the house, in fact, he wanted him to leave this morning, but Grandma refused.

"How about we give Agnes some free time?" Fiona grinned.

"Yeah, yeah," Samuel rubbed the back of his neck nervously as they approached the door.

They walked quickly to the dining room, where they saw Eric and Grandma drinking tea.

"Good morning, darlings. How about the lady?" Grandma asked as she saw them approaching them without Agnes.

"She'll be there soon," Fiona said. She wanted to walk to the kitchen to get another chair, but Eric stopped her.

"Sit here, I'll get the chair," he said as he stood up.

"No, you sit down, I'll get the chair, sit on this one," Samuel said pointing at the empty seat.

"I said I'd get the chair, but since you offered, it's not a problem, Fiona, how about my proposal, what do you think?" Eric inquired while seated.

Samuel leaned in, waiting for her to answer.
