I passed out somewhere near mondstadt yesterday after meeting Razor and Bennett along the way. Then, because I was lucky enough to be saved by someone, Barbara and Kaeya saw me. They brought me into the church. Actually, Barbara nursed me until I woke up. She's such a sweet little angel.
It surprised me that there would be a wind blume festival after all of my passing out and such. Barbara allowed me to attend the festival. Thankfully, Sara gave me some tips and food that I could use to participate in games and eat some local foods at the festival. All that hardship I've had didn't go in vain after all.
I overheard the most adorable and destructive line in Teyvat while eating at Sara's restaurant. Actually, that wasn't the line, but let's leave it that way. I approached the little girl without hesitation because I was so excited to meet her. She had the appearance of a small elf, with pale skin and light red eyes. Klee is dressed in a red coat with darker red embellishment and keyhole shapes in the hem over a white dress and shorts, as well as gloves, knee socks, boots, and a brown messenger bag. You know who was attached to that bag, don't you? Dodoco.
I remember the Archipelago Island event. It was the most exciting and fun event I'd ever had in Genshin Impact.
Klee and I made direct eye contact. The problem was that I couldn't turn around. It was as if something in her eyes was enticing me. They sparkle beautifully, and her charm is otherworldly and exciting.
"Hey Lady, what do you want? Why are you on our way?"
The NPc who was with Klee was rather rude. She's an NPc I've never met before in the game. I suppose I don't remember all of the NPc here because I don't pay attention to them. But this NPc is far from polite.
"I-I'm sorry." It was awkward for me to be treated in this manner. To be honest, I wasn't expecting that. But I can't always assume that everyone here is always kind and innovative.
Just like in my world.
"Miss Lady. Are you okay?"
"Klee! You shouldn't talk to strangers so casually."
But I'm in front of Klee right now. I want to greet her. After I greet her, it will be okay to go.
"Uhm, I'm okay! I… I just want to greet Klee." I bent my knees as I curved a small smile on my face. Klee is fleeing sunlight, so I shouldn't make her worry.
"Oh my. There you are."
"Mister Kaeya!"
Kaeya is nearing in the distance. Approaching us firmly and majestically. I stood up and turned to face him. Barbara said she was with Kaeya when they found me unconscious. I'm wondering if he's here to chide me again.
"Oh, Klee is also here." He also took notice of Klee.
"Kae—Master Kaeya. What are you doing here?"
It's embarrassing if I only address him by his first name. We're not close enough. Lumine is so lucky to be able to address people freely here. While a nameless NPc like myself must work hard to become known. However, there is no compelling reason to be popular. I'll stay and become a resident. That will also necessitate a good connection, right?
"I'm just passing through. Perhaps to keep the entire city peaceful?" his response, kinda doubting it. Why does he have to speak in such a mysterious manner?
"I see…"
"Mister Kaeya, you know her?"
"Yes." Kaeya tapped my shoulder, "This girl here is a friend. Would you like to be her companion at this festival? For the time being, I have to do something with Camellia."
"E-eh?"
"You won't mind, would you?" Kaeya looked at me with a solemn but smirking expression.
I blinked twice, no, three times. The event is taking an unexpected turn.
"Be with Klee?"
When I looked at Klee, I noticed she was doing the same thing.
I expected it to be difficult to get along with Klee in person, but she bursts out an innocent smile at me and says, "Klee will be in your care now."
"Wahh…" When I saw Klee's innocent smile, my jaw dropped. She shines like a fairy.
"M-me too! Let's have some fun, K-klee."
"That's settled now. You two have some fun together, but keep an eye out for trouble all the time." said Kaeya, who was staring at me. As a response, I simply nodded.
"Now then. Have fun." As Klee and I were left in the crowds, Kaeya and Camellia moved out. This makes me nervous. What kind of character is Klee? I don't really have Klee as my five-star character.
"All right, it looks like it's just you and me this time." I furrowed my brow, and she did as well. "Klee wants to go shopping. According to Grand Master Jean, some people have organized some games for the festival."
Klee talks differently? maybe I'm just overthinking it.
"Okay! Off to visit the stalls then." Stalls, huh? I'm not sure. In the first place, there are no stalls that can buy things in the game. This is definitely new to me. Perhaps I should stop obsessing over minor details.
Finally, Klee and I started walking around and looking at the stalls. One of the stalls has some really fun games. The concept is that you throw the ball into the center of the ring, and the prize is one of the stuffed animals displayed.
"D-dodoco!?" And they're giving away Dodoco as the grand prize?
"Wait, what should we do? They have Dodoco; Klee wants that adorable stuffed Dodoco. However, Klee does not think she will be able to obtain Dodoco—"
Oh no, I can't let Klee feel sad about not having a dodoco stuffed toy. I have to pull it out for her.
"I'll go get it for you!" That being said, I began spending the Mora I received from Sara.
"Here you have it." The stall owner gave me a total of five balls. The mechanics are straightforward, similar to the game from my world. Basketball is the name of this sport. I don't have any experience with it, nor have I ever played in that world. But I'll do my best for Klee.
"Go Miss Lady!"
I was actually unable to acquire the first shot. My fingers are glitchy! They are trembling as a result of their nervousness. If I fail this, I won't be able to get dodoco.
"How many balls do I have to shoot to get the dodoco stuffed animal?"
"Three. Only three, and you'll be able to get the stuffed toy you want," explained the stall owner. Three? That's incredibly hard!
"Klee really wants that stuffed animal..."
I need to get grief. There's no room for failure. I tightened my grip on the ball, shaking off my unresolved feelings.
"Okay. We'll get that dodoco for sure."
When I shot the ball, it miraculously went in.
"Omg!"
"Nice shot!"
We can't stop clapping because we're so happy. Klee is leaping from her heart.
"All right, next."
All I have to do now is shoot the ball. The ring is completely immobile. This should be simple. Klee's happiness is my top priority.
The ball weight is identical to the previous one. It's the same as before, but why am I shaking once more?
"You've got this, Miss Lady! Klee knows you're capable!"
Klee~
Alright. Focus!
And because Klee was cheering for me, I got my second basket!
"Yahoo!"
"Oh my God, I think I might be good at this. I'm not sure..." I muttered to myself.
This is making me very nervous.
"One more shot, and you'll get it."
Yes. One more shot.
The stall shop passed the ball to me. Sweat began to trickle down my face. I took a deep breath in and a deep breath out. This is the final shot for Teyvat Peace.
"Here I come!"
When I strike the ball. The ball circled the ring. Not only that, the ring suddenly moved on its own, causing my ball to fall short of the ring. It didn't enter…
"Ah! Wait, what the hell is that?"
"Oh, I didn't explain? Sorry, but the ring will be expected to move in your last two balls."
"What!? But why didn't you tell me before I even used my ball?!"
"T-that's cheating, Mister!" Klee concurred with me.
"I completely forgot to explain. Please accept my apologies."
Great, now I only have one ball in my hand. This will be my final shot; I can't guarantee I'll be able to play the game again because that's all the mora I have.
This guy is doing everything he can to make me miss that shot. He clearly doesn't want to hand over the dodoco in the first place.
"I'll do this…"
But how will I know which side of the ring will move first? Which way is it? Based on my previous shot, the ring moved when it made contact with the ball. Then my resolve is that the ball shouldn't touch the side of the ring. By then, I must assure that the ball will exactly enter the center.
I finally aimed the ball to where it would land more precisely.
"Gooo!"
As if the entire atmosphere were slowing down, the ball lifted from my grasp. My heart started racing.
"Uwaaa…"
But, thanks to my determination, it will ent—Ah! Is that another ball that appeared out of nowhere?
"Wh..at…?" and it pushed my ball out of the ring. Instead, the ball that pushed mine made its way into the ring!
My mouth dropped open.
"W-who…?!"
"Sir, congratulations. You may select any prize you desire."
"Wait a minute! That ball appeared out of nowhere—"
"That's what we call stealing. It was unexpectedly elegant."
I couldn't hide my annoyance anymore.
"Hey! This is obviously unjust! You never informed us that our points could be stolen. I'm going to whack your face if you don't settle this. Do you notice this little girl? In one snap of her dodoco, she can turn your little stall into ashes!"
"E-eh?!" As I tried to settle this quickly, I grabbed the stall owner's necktie, but the man who stole my victory abruptly interrupted us.
"I want that red-burning stuffed animal. Was it called Dodoco?" My eyes widened as I recognized the voice. I slowly turned my head to see who it was.
This was unbelievable to me.
"S-scaramouche?"
"Oh, it's you. Miss eyesore."
