Chapter 28: The dangers of the jungle

As Alice and Oliver made their way through the jungle, Alice noticed that the jungle was much thicker than it looked from the outside and that it was very difficult to move through it without clearing a path first. There were no trails and the little light from the Albek sky that was already quite faint, became even more limited due to the thick leafy branches that hung over their heads.

Alice looked over at Oliver who looked to be scouting the area. His hand, tightly gripping the hilt of the sword .

“How deep into the jungle is the white forest?” Asked Alice as she made her way over a big log that stood in her path. She felt relieved that she had put on flat shoes that morning otherwise this would have been impossible.

“right in the middle,” replied Oliver. “The mages who created the white forest, created this jungle around it as well. I’m sure you’ve noticed, but these trees aren’t exactly normal. Put your hand on the trunk of this tree over here.”
