He dared looked at me straight in the eyes, in front of my mother and reprimanded me as if I was his wife or even care friend "You will pay for this" I told myself.

"Of course, I did" I frowned.

"Instead of complaining go and warn it back" mum yelled. "Mum" I frowned. Time was passing and I had to get ready for work.

"It's fine, you don't have to bother yourself. I'm leaving. I got a lot of work awaiting me at the office." with that said I stood up to leave.

"One last thing" mum's voice halted him and I wearily rolled my eyes. I thought it was over already. I couldn't withstand that any longer.

"I know you are a very busy man, but I will like you join us to celebrate Christmas eve" she asked. "Mum! That's too much" I pouted "He can't make it" I said.

"Shut up and let him talk for himself" she frowned.
