Into The Night

The fox's paws touches the ground, where underneath it's sticks and stones created small crunching noises. It's in the darkest nights, around him is the darkness. With it's really good eye sight, it's aware of it's surroundings around the fox. Silence is at it's peak, all it hears is the crickets cricketing and the wind touching its fur. The sounds of something mumbling in fear is near it. Could it potentially be flesh? Maybe. But most likely not. The fox decides to check it out, just in case it could be flesh.

It starts to run onto the stones near the river. The river begins to flow onto the stones as it's fur is faintly wet from the river. The fox continues to follow the sound, and it begins to track its senses with its nose. The fox maintains an eye on the environment around it. The sticks and leaves being stepped on, eating a few of the nearby berries, and once it suspects a predator is approaching, its adrenaline surges and it dashes like it's the final day of its life.

Most of the time, there isn't any predators suspecting the fox. Only once in a while, but it manages to get away. It's stealth and it's quick thinking manages to get him away from them. But the fox is lucky to have these advantages. Without it's reliance of it's quick thinking skills, stealth, and it's quick speeds to flee, he would have been dead a long time ago.

It has a distinct scent that it does not recognize. Berries? Flesh? It didn't know for sure, but it needed to get closer. A desire starts to build up for something to eat, as it's stomach starts to growl, it starts to sprint like adrenaline is in it's body. It has been two entire says since the fox last ate something.

While the desire to eat something grows, it's heart beating faster and a lot harder than normal. It's body starts to become fatigue where the growling in his stomach becomes louder. It drags it's paws deep into the small rocks, making an agonizing noise. Not far from it's view, the fox sees a small pile of stuff and moved in closer, being as quiet as it possibly can. There it sees a huge hump, and a few black objects around it.

Nope. It's defently not food. The fox takes a few steps back, startled, not seeing what the fox thinks he sees. It watches the hump move into the other direction, and the sounds of deep breaths made the fox believe that it's possibly human. It wasn't certain that it's a human, but it'll check anyway. With slow and quiet steps, it starts to walk around and licking whatever it could lick.

"Huh," A girl's voice mumbles with a tired and lost tone. The girl sat up and looks around, but nothing but a black silhouette caught her eye. "What are you doing. . . . ."

The fox's sits there and stares at the girl. As it sits there, the fox watches the girl's head wobble back and forth as it lies down.

"Ugh, why does my back hurt?" she grumbled. "It feels like a thousand needles have been put all over my back." She sighs deeply and closed her eyes.

The fox sat and stares at the girl as she rolled over and covers herself in the same blanket. It's aware that the girl could possibly eat him, or hunt him down for flesh. The fox immediately begins to run back into the darkness, vowing to return in the morning to discover whatever the hump is.
