Chapter 166: Reawakening

They then quietly continued on and Tilie broke the silence.

"Fuxi? The Chinese goddess of Erudition? I didn't expect that you have such a fancy circle of friends." Tilie chuckled and Hua nodded.

"Yes, she is the sister of Nuwa. They look really alike, but they're quite different, she was tasked to be the pioneer." Hua described her role, remembering theirs in project Ember.

"She was the one who was responsible for building civilizations." Hua reminisced what she could remember and smiled fondly at her memories of Fuxi.

"Fuxi doesn't smile or laugh much. But she was blessed with immense wisdom. She is also the one responsible for managing the spheres of Soulium that are scattered throughout the world." Hua told the story of Fuxi and Tilie was happy with that information.

"Good, I think we're getting closer and closer to the target." The blonde got excited, they then saw the entrance to the memory as they went deeper.

"Prepare yourself, we will be entering the next memory fragment. Hmmm, what could we learn with your memories of Fuxi?" Tilie waited patiently and Hua entered the next fragment of memories. They arrived at a beach.

"We've entered the memory fragment safely. This should be shortly after the Nuwa encounter, but we're pretty far off." Tilie commented as she observed the surroundings.

"I remember this place, this is the coast of the south seas... I went here with Fuxi once, we came here to seal one of the spheres of Soulium." Hua looked at the beach with a smile.

"Keep the memory running, we'll locate that sphere shortly." Tilie rubbed her hands and could almost taste the Soulium.

Hua then tried finding Fuxi and she saw her near the waters, counting something as she mumbled with her emotionless voice.

"59, 60, 61..." Hua went up to her. "Fuxi, what are you doing here?" She then looked over and saw some seashells.

"Jingwei! Good to see you, carry these shells for me. They're too heavy, see?" Fuxi handed her a bag of seashells that confused her.

"Allow me, gah! These really are heavy... What are you going to do with these anyways?" Hua carried it over her shoulder and wanted to know her purpose, as she never does things without a clear one.

"The people of this era will be using them as money. Once this currency starts circulating, its value will quickly appreciate." Fuxi said with a yawn.

"I see. You're expediting the economic development of this era, right?" Hua understood and was amazed that she thought of that.

"No. I'm hoarding them for another purpose." Fuxi replied and Hua was surprised. "Eh? Aren't you the pioneer of humanity?" She asked quickly as she thought that Fuxi would be a tyrant that holds tons of money.

"Of course, I will be circulating this currency to the masses. But I will accumulate wealth as well, not enough to affect the market though." Fuxi made a money sign and Hua sighed.

"I remember now, she was really into money and finance." Hua told the blonde and she saw it till now. As Nuwa would drain all their allowance into gacha money and merch.

"Someone probably did all the shopping for you, Jingwei. It feels nice to have money you know? I've collected enough sea shells here, let's go somewhere else." Fuxi used Hua as a pack horse and they roamed around.

"The weight of this bag... There's more than 61 shells here right?" Hua asked with squinted eyes, hearing her count earlier.

"61 shells? No, we have 61 empty bags. And they must all be filled before we leave here, Jingwei." Fuxi gestured to her to pick some up again and she was shocked again. "What!?" But she still begrudgingly picked them up.

"Fuxi, was the reason we came to the south seas. Is to pick up seashells?" Hua kept on picking them up quickly to get it over with.

"Well, not really. Collecting shells is important." Hua then got annoyed. "You're getting more cheeky than I like Fuxi."

Fuxi shrugged. "Our other objective here is geological profiling. The soil can tell us the past and future of these lands. And my predictions were correct. This is a good place, there's a lot of water and a nice climate. It is also an oceanfront locale, travelers will stop by here. It will initiate an exchange of culture and knowledge." Fuxi nodded in satisfaction at the place.

"So, are we going to move the people of this era to this place?" Hua asked as she thought that Fuxi's observations will give birth to a prosperous place.

"It's fine. We must follow the flow of history, we can nudge it a little bit. But we shouldn't change how it goes. This place isn't suitable for primitive tribes, but once civilization starts to develop. People will establish new roots in this land." Fuxi then gestured for her to pick up more shells again

"I can see people building new homes and cities in this place. The civilization of this era will grow and become a brilliant spark for years to come. So I will need you to do one thing before people start settling down." Fuxi looked at her and Hua understood.

"Yes, I will fight to protect these lands Fuxi." Hua nodded and Fuxi sighed. "No, that's not what I meant. Before anyone could claim these lands, we need to buy them all." Fuxi made a money sign and drooled at the prospect of getting prime real estate. Hua frowned at her love for money and sighed at her antics.

"This place will soon have a growing population. This settlement will become a city, a hub for commerce and trade. It may look barren now, but its future value is virtually limitless. It's definitely more valuable than seashells." Fuxi explained and Hua thought about it.

"But what are we going to do next? We're tasked with protecting this world, not lodge around and enjoy life." Hua asked with concern and Fuxi looked at her seriously.

"Jingwei, there will come a day where Nuwa and I will become old. But you will not, you are special, immortal. You will be the lonesome guardian of this world." She stated and Hua nodded. "I know, I'm not afraid."

"No, that's not what I meant. You will be spending a huge fortune for the next hundreds of years. And there's inflation, devaluation, and all kinds of financial disasters. You must plan ahead." Fuxi educated her and Hua nodded in understanding. "I understand, thank you."

"Umu, I hope you do, protect these lands well. Yosh, let us take care of the last thing now." Fuxi took hold of the Soulium they will seal and they tried finding a suitable place.

"This will do, let's bury it here." Fuxi took the sphere of Soulium and buried it deep beneath. "This is the sphere!" Hua exclaimed and Tilie was ecstatic.

"Finally! It's here, that must be the sphere of Soulium we're looking for." Tilie was in cloud 9. "This is the terminal of the shelter, all the tech of the Previous Era is stored in these spheres of Soulium. They are our hope to defeat the honkai, but we cannot give them to the people of this era." Hua and Tilie nodded as the knowledge is too advanced for the primitive people.

"If people see something beyond their understanding... They'll fear it and take a wayward path that will lead to oblivion. I thought about it and decided to seal them all, these seals will not last forever." Fuxi closed her eyes and hoped that they will be unearthed in a timely manner.

"I understand, so that's why you're finding places that people will eventually inhabit. You hope to place the spheres in locations that only advanced civilizations will be able to reach." Hua concluded and Fuxi was impressed.

"You got it! And so quickly too. One day, humanity will harness this knowledge and material. Our legacy will respond to their call. It is my mission to see it happen, and it is my dream as well." Fuxi said in a somber tone as it would be the only thing she could do to honor Ein's sacrifice for their lives.

"You must protect this place from the honkai until that day arrives. Don't worry, I will be doing that until humanity unearths them." Hua gave a smile and Fuxi smiled tenderly at her. They were going to leave her a mission that would take thousands of years. Making Fuxi sad for her friend's fate.

"That's the last terminal, I've recorded every place in this scroll. Remember, we're only the pioneers of civilization. Humanity must brave the trials on their own and reach this place with their own power. Otherwise, they will only repeat the tragedies of our time. Be patient and wait for the time when humanity is qualified for our knowledge. We're sorry that you have to beat this task alone, Hua." Fuxi gave a sad smile and Hua nodded with determination.

"It's alright Fuxi, this is our mission. Our vision." Hua smiled tenderly and Fuxi gave her the scrolls.

"Hah! That was easier than I thought, commence data analysis on the numbers in the scroll!" Tilie ordered and Hua kept on listening to Fuxi.

"Keep these scrolls safe, I'm sorry Hua. For leaving you alone in your journey." She then vanished as the memory ended and Hua thought she was the one that should be sorry. "I should be the one who is apologizing Fuxi, I lost the scrolls, the locations..."

"Will I really forget my memories once I leave this place?" Hua asked the blonde and she sighed. "Sorry, my friend. But I cannot lie to you."

Hua then started to get mentally unstable and the memory space even prevented her from exiting the place.

"We cannot fight natural laws, memories will fade after thousands of years. No matter how much we fight for it." Tilie said as even she has started to forget how her quest to revive Kallen. Needing to remind herself of it.

"Hua, you don't want to leave don't you?" She heard a familiar voice and the connection Tilie had with Hua's memories got cut off.

"This... This voice... Captain HIMEKO." Hua looked at her and was shocked to her core. "You know that if you return to the real world, the memories you worked so hard to restore. Will fall back down to the deepest recesses of your mind."

Tilie's contraption then pulled all the fragments of her broken memories. Her SWARA then took them and made them complete once again. Her enhanced body held on to the memories and didn't let her forget.

Hua got a headsplitting migraine and was flooded with memories. From her time with Carole, to the 3rd honkai eruption that took her only friend and family away. The comrades she lost at the fight against the honkai. And most importantly, the time they took her captain with them.

"A-argh!" She clutched her chest and the stigmata glowed. A herrscher core forming inside of her as the grief and memories hit her all at once. A herrscher persona then formed, but it was hit like a truck by the thousands of years of memories.

But it still fought for supremacy and used Hua's unstable psyche to its advantage, suppressing her deeply. Using her newfound powers over the mind so she could gain control over their body.

"Deep in this boundless dream, gazing at my warped self." She felt floaty and the memories kept on flowing to her mind.

"My past was a failure, everything and everyone I swore to protect... All perished." She remembered her captain being lowered to the ground, with her child and a part of Ein's soul with her.

"Only the remorse etched in one's mind can make one emerge from their pupa!" She started to change, her eyes turning a brilliant red as weapons appeared on her back. (pic)

"I finally remember everything... Ein-nii, captain HIMEKO." The memories were too much though, and the herrscher thought she was Hua. But her personality was quite different from Hua's reserved and calm one. Being childish and selfish, as she was just born.

"Hehehe~ HAHAHAHA! The honkai took away everything from me. Ein-nii fought perpetually to give us an easier time. I think it's time to give something back. I will shape this world to one which I desire!" She laughed like a maniac and Tilie frowned heavily at her sudden change. Taking out void Archives and preparing for a fight.

"You are..." The blonde brandished Shamash and thought she might have to use the 0th power of it today and almost die trying to just repel her.

"Can't recognize me anymore? Old friend? Why so hostile? Forget about you, I don't have time to play with you." She then rode a sword and surfed the hell out of there immediately. Wanting to put the world in an eternal illusion so they won't have trouble in reeling them in. Unlike in the previous era where Elysia almost died because of humanity's divide.

"T-this is bad. Really bad." Tilie started sweating and she knew that Hua becoming a herrscher was bad news. Nobody can stop her except her squadmates after all.

"Hmmm? Shit, are you kidding me right now?" Ein swore when he felt a herrscher awaken. And it was Hua of all people. Thinking that the earth would get destroyed just in their 1st clash with her.

"Captain Ein?" Kanchou asked as Ein got really tense all of a sudden. "Kanchou, you're my reliable quartermaster. I leave the Hyperion to you, things are about to go down." He then teleported to HQ and everybody was already at the meeting table.

"MEI, status report?" Ein quickly asked and she showed a video of Hua flying through the atmosphere. She was gathering tons of honkai energy and Aponia could feel its purpose.

"Ein-sama, she is trying to put the whole world in an illusion. This is quite the situation isn't it?" Aponia said with a sigh and Su got tense, especially Krishna, as she has experience in doing that. Knowing what would happen if she succeeds.

"Ein~ I want you to create a barrier on earth. Somebody naughty is creating some trouble, I guess I'll teach her some manners." Elysia said as she transformed, Kevin was about to argue that they should just take her down immediately without a fight, but Ein put a hand on him and shook his head.

"Let them fight." He put strong barriers around the world and the earth was basically in another dimension. Elysia arrived at her location and clicked her tongue at Hua.

"Tsk, tsk. You were such a nice girl Hua, now you're being naughty~" Elysia floated around, all relaxed. Hua thought she was there to help her and beamed at her.

"Elysia-san! Great, come help me with this! Ein-nii won't have a problem with humans ever again!" She excitedly gathered honkai energy and Elysia facepalmed.

"Hua, Ein doesn't want this you know?" Elysia explained to her and Hua stopped on her tracks, freezing at her words. She then frowned heavily, as Elysia never lies.

"Did he really?" What happened back then weighed heavily on her mind, the ugly side of humans. Killing Rin in cold blood, SAKURA dying from the honkai eruption that resulted in it. And Ein's hard work all washed down the drain because of humans.

"N-no! Ein-nii has worked for centuries for project Ascension. It will not fail again because of these lousy humans Elysia-san!" She squared up and Elysia smiled.

They then went on a faceoff. Their honkai energy crashing against each other like a tsunami. Making earth tremble violently even though it was already protected from their energies.

Herrscher Hua then started to chant.

"I am the bone of my sword. Steel is my body, and fire is my blood. I have created over a thousand blades. Unaware of beginning, Nor aware of the end. Withstood pain with inconsistent weapons, my hands will never hold anything. Yet, my flame never ends. My whole body was still Unlimited Blade Works." A flame extended fro. her back and covered a wide space, thousands of kilometers across, her reality marble encompassing the earth.

"My body is made out of swords. My blood is of iron and my heart of glass. I have overcome countless battlefields. Only once retreating, Not even once being victorious. The orphan is alone again, striking diamond dust on a hill of swords. But this life is not yet over. This false body was still made of swords." Countless swords appeared all over the place and they were of different kinds, from western to eastern.

"So as I pray, unlimited blade works!" Hua spawned Excalibur proto in her main hand. She also summoned a blood red spear on the other.

Elysia chuckled and her crystals scattered through space. The void behind her cracked open and a celestial sized sphere of energy crackled. Hua's reality marble then clashed with her energy and pieces of it started to fall off. Like the world was shattered and it peeled off.

"I am the remedy of eternity. Hua, don't disappoint me now~ Ars Almadel Salomonis." All sounds disappeared and the energy behind Elysia converged, turning into a planetary laser that erased anything it hit.

"This battle is a battle to save the world Elysia-san! I cannot let you win! Ein-nii needs this! EX... CALIBUR!" A golden sword made of energy collided with Elysia's attack, resulting in a titanic wave of energy that shaked everybody to the core.

Elysia's beam then got split in two and Hua's energy sword shattered to a million pieces. The stray attack hit the unlucky sun and a few other planets that were on the way. It then exploded in a supernova and Ein whistled.

And after 8 minutes, the whole world saw the sun explode. "Fuck! What are you feeding her Ein? Did their attacks just made the sun go supernova?" Tilie was in her bunker and prayed that they won't destroy earth.

Thanks for reading everyone, the Yatta would need to be disciplined for a bit for being selfishly kind. Anyways, ciao.
