Chapter 32 : How Stupid Am I?

Vika's POV

"Good, Vika," one of the rebel warriors said.

I blocked his sword when he tried to attack me again. He smirked and nodded.

"See, you're getting better," he said.

"Yeah, but I still suck," I muttered.

The rebel, Jason, laughed and put a hand on his chest. He put his sword away.

Well, I guess that was it for the training. I put my sword away too.

"You're too hard on yourself. It isn't like you can master fighting overnight," Jason said.

"I know it, Jason. I just need to be better if this rebellion is going to succeed," I reminded him.

Jason shrugged. "Look, you've got all the skill you need. Your strength is growing. Now, you just need to trust yourself and stop overthinking."

"Oh, is that all?" I asked, giggling. I flexed my arms. Yup, they were definitely stronger.

"Head on home, now. We can train again later," Jason said, waving.

"Thanks for the workout," I said.

"The rest of the rebels will be keeping an eye on you," he reminded me.
