Vika's POV
"Are you sure you are ready?" Kira asked.
"Yes, Aunt Kira, I am ready." I nodded.
"Once the invasion starts, it can't be stopped. We will have to see it through to the end, no matter what happens," she told me.
"I know," I said, sighing. I looked at my feet. My steps matched Kira's perfectly. We were so alike. I loved it!
"Honey, I know you have your mother's gift of kindness and your father's strength of leadership. All that stands in your way is Vadon," my aunt said, patting my hand in the crook of her arm.
"He won't go for much longer," I said firmly.
"That's what I want to hear," Kira chuckled.
I giggled and rested my head on her shoulder. It was so good to have a real family member. Aunt Kira was easy to get along with. I kept thinking it was like having my real mother back in a way.
"You've mastered a lot since we started training together," she said. We walked arm and arm back to the main building.
