Chapter 112 : Our First Moon Ball

I couldn’t sit still. It was like every time I stopped moving, I was stabbed with pins and needles, pushing me into action again. It was agonizing, waiting around for our time to act. I had so many questions swimming in my head, and my amnesia made me constantly feel like the answers were just out of reach.

Sighing, I rubbed my hands on my thighs and paced my office.

“You look about as anxious as I feel,” Eva said, popping her head in.

“I know we all agreed to wait until after the Moon Ball, but it seems like years have gone by. I just want to see this through.”

Eva gave a humorless smile and nodded. “I know what you mean.”

“Oh, I’m sorry Eva. I can only imagine what this is like for you…” I went to her and pulled her into a hug.

“I’m not sure how to feel. For two years, I thought my sons were dead. Now I find them alive, and every fiber of my being is telling me to go to them.” She sighed and shook her head.
