Chapter 28: What Time Weaves

Waving her staff, Xiathia spiraled time. The world around them blurred and faded. Muting all colors. Erasing all sounds. Even touch, taste, and smell were affected. Mialtros inspected herself in a panic, unable to stop herself.

Xiathera’s hands eased her hands away from her face, gently smiling.

“Do not be alarmed by the sensations you feel. When traveling time, you experience everything through times eyes. Your body is temporarily removed from all reality while in times dimension. Your memories will be altered to keep time’s flow stable. Your own senses will return to you when we leave.”

The ice sphere hurtled to the ground, shattering around them, sending Mialtros rolling.

They landed in a field of flowers. Two girls played at sword fighting. Ghirti, an older man, and a woman watched them.

Xiathera helped Mialtros to her feet. She leaned on the Time Guardian, waiting for her vision to stop spinning.
