Pressing herself to the rocks, Mialtros peered into the inner sanctum.
Torches flickered. The glass aquarium was surrounded once more by sea life.
Zeltina was nowhere to be seen, but a shadow hovered over the entrance.
That was gonna be a h**l of a hit to protect against.
Smearing jelly over the top and sides of the hammer Mialtros fashioned a pointed blade and elongated hand guards.
The rapier was too dangerous and swift to take out with the hammer’s slow swings. But a long handled weapon similar to Zeltina’s glaive might do the trick.
Keeping the blade held up, Mialtros walked backwards out of the cave, keeping her eyes to the ceiling.
A red blur slammed into the blade guard, Zeltina’s face broke out in a smile as she flipped back to the ceiling.
“So you did learn something from our time together after all.”
Scooting backward, keeping her on Zeltina at all times she shrugged.
“You fight the same person enough times you pick up things here and there.”
