Chapter 38: A Deadly Bet

Telfier’s face crunched as Mewl slammed the mace handle into it. Telfier kicked Mewl back as the God went to claw his eyes out with tiny blades. The red eyed man swiped at Mialtros. She ducked under the heavy spikes and grabbed the handle, leaping to swing her weight on it.

Telfier overbalanced but let the mace go, crossing his arms in front of his chest as Mewl took aim at his face. After a couple swings, he kicked the man in the stomach. Telfier grappled Mewl’s leg, swinging him round.

“I hear the weather on the sun is quite nice this time of year! Why don’t you see for yourself!?”

The God twisted his body, catching Telfier across the jaw with his other leg, flapping his wings hard to bowl Telfier over.

“I’m hot enough already Telfier. The world isn’t ready for anything sexier.”

Mialtros rammed the mace and hammer into his side, dragging him along the floor before flinging him.

'You losing your sass there Telfier? I weren’t feeling that one, it didn’t have any bite to it.'
