Alcekri laboratory was a squat, bronze building with sloped roofs and hunched over walls. It floated around on crumbling soil, pipes connected to large boxes, and a cloud of black fire. As high up as they were, Mialtros could see the walls wound about each other in numerous pathways.
She heard Mewl growl and scrubbed his back as Kaldras bent to let them off. They crawled up the hillside as the
God vanished into the flames of a star.
Mialtros wished him well as she looked around.
The building was full of doorways, nearly every wall was covered in them. They didn’t have any features that told where they led, nor did any of the doors look fake. There were no people around either. She followed Mewl as he made his way to the front most wall.
“Do we really wanna be going through the front door? Ain’t that the kinda thing they’d be planning for? I think we need to look for a window or something to crawl into.”
