Chapter 34: The Caravan

The caravan is nearly an entire village.

Well, village is a loose definition. It’s more of a messy group of people, but they have supplies and horses and wagons, and it’s nice not to have to walk as they make their way across the Crescent. The Nutukin are wary of them at first, which Selmas doesn’t blame them for; if Alyrisin really have been attacking the other clans—and he’s still not sure how this is possible—then any appearance by any people who look like they’re from Alyris would probably be unwelcome. Any outright hostility is curbed by Jigen and Aisling letting their trio borrow clothing, the browns and rust-reds of their home exchanged for the deep, rich colors of the Nutuk clan.
