Ara
When Ara woke up, it took her a few moments to realize the extent of what had happened last night. A smile appeared on her face when she remembered she no longer had any reason to care why the Fae raiders had attacked the castle. She was no longer a spy or an assassin, and Count Thorn wasn’t her master anymore. This was now solely his problem.
The fact that Prince Acheron hadn’t released her from the collar bothered her more than she felt it should. He was a Hova, after all, and it was normal for the wealthy and powerful to own multiple Fae. He had just seemed… different, somehow. And now she had to thank him again: first for leaving the map on Count Thorn’s desk, even though he wasn’t going to be her problem anymore, and second, for insisting on taking her to Starfall along with Lila. She hated being indebted to anyone.
