Chapter 30: The Announcement

When they arrived at Ravenshall Castle, they were escorted to a guest bedroom and served food. Ara ate half of the tray by herself, having skipped dinner and forgetting to have breakfast that morning. It had proved to be true that her spirits would improve once they were on solid land, and so did her appetite.

She couldn’t quite forget her verbal exchange with Prince Acheron, but it was easier to ignore thanks to the change in scenery and distance from where it had actually happened.

Princess Lila had wanted to go out for a walk once they had been shown to their rooms, but Rena advised against it. She thought it’d be better to stay inside until the feast. So they were to spend most of the afternoon stretching out dresses and planning what to wear.
