Casandra believes that magic is for desperate people who gave up on their
chances of victory. The world is a harsh place where people abuse one another and you must have a thick skin to make it. Forgiveness is not on her list of attributes.
While on a trip to Alexandria with her archeologist father, she discovers an ancient crown which changes everything. The crown opens her eyes to a world of the dead, where dwells a young man who sets her world into a spiral. He shows her that many of her assumptions about her place in life, her ideas of reality, and most importantly, what she felt love was, are not real after all.

The two set off across the desert and even speak to the ancient voices of the oracles discovering who they are and were meant to be. The entwining love between them blossoms as they grow on their journey of adventure, battles, and struggles to become complete.

A couple minutes later, they arrived outside of the large temple complex. The sun was very strong today, and she noticed it shimmered on the structure making it look almost like gold. Cassandra squeezed her purse absent mindedly as she thought about the crown resting in there. Would she start to see the past again? She knew if she put it on she would for sure see all sorts of strange phenomena. But, when she did not wear it, the visions seemed to be weak, limiting her to be able to see Lakis and such. 


The temple seemed gorgeous and she wanted to put on the crown to see it as it was thousands of years ago. But she did not know if people around them would notice she was acting weird. So she decided to wait. She looked over at Lakis who was motioning to her to come closer. 


She stood so close to him that she could feel his breath upon her, and she tried to stare at the temple in awe in hopes she would not look suspicious.
