Chapter 10: Break A Leg

The sign up sheet is on the bulletin board. It’s like they know half the people working in tech and costuming— and all the other non-performing roles— want their shot at joining the cast.

Beth stares at the sheet and chews on her bottom lip. It’s only just been posted— had to be; the list has no names on it yet. She’s not the first person at the theater yet, but she’s obviously the first who’s noticed it yet.

She wants to sign the sheet. She has a pen in the breast pocket of her black costuming polo. She could just pull it out, jot her name down, and be done with it. She’s got her songs chosen and everything.

Then again, maybe she should wait until someone else signs up first.
