Chapter 18: Someone Else

She hasn’t heard from Sean in two weeks. Not a word.

Beth tells herself repeatedly that it doesn’t bother her. Their arrangement has been iffy at best, anyway; it’s not like they’ve been dating, or anything official. He’s probably busy, anyway.

It’s not like her new schedule is going to afford her much free time, either. She’s about to have rehearsals all day, five days a week, for several weeks, while the girl she’s replacing finishes her run; not to mention her last two weeks in costuming, plus the dance classes she picked up to stay in shape, and maintaining what else is left of her social life. Her schedule is basically packed solid. There’s really no time for her to be thinking about her non-existent love life.

She definitely doesn’t miss seeing Sean. Or regular sex. Or the illusion of having a dependable Alpha in her life.

Nope. She doesn’t miss it a bit.

Not at all.
