Professor Thelete was unsure of how to respond. On the one hand, it was clear that both he and Jasmine had formed a deeper bond than just that of colleagues. 


On the other hand, he was wrestling with the notion of being her boss and having a conflict of interest and how this might potentially blow up their working relationship should this go any further. 


There was also the inescapable truth that right now, given the current circumstances that his tent would be the safest area in the entire camp because the mercenaries wouldn’t get paid if anything happened to him. It would be rude of him to not take her feelings of being scared into consideration. 


After a long pause and indecisiveness on his part, the professor had finally made up his mind on a course of action.
