I look at the people in front of me and see that my presence is not wanted in this room. I look at Eddard Stark, and I must say that he looks like Sean Bean from my previous world. The only difference is that this man is very tall, just like any other northern man I encounter.
I guess all the people who have the First Man blood in their veins will have massive bodies.
"Let this trial begin. The first question I want to ask is to Lord William. Are you truly the Lord appointed by the three noble houses of the Skagos Isle?"
"Yes. The three people behind me are the Lord of Stane, Magnar, and the Crowl house of Skagos."
I can see Eddard look at my advisor and see them nodding their head. We are using the ancient law placed by the Winter King in the past to create a bigger house that rules a piece of land. Umber also uses this rule to rule their land after five clans combine their land and power to create a bigger house.
The reason this law was created? It is so that other houses can absorb other houses into their own by creating a marriage between the two houses and then killing the other family. The Stark uses this tactic to absorb other houses as well. This tactic they use to strengthen the central power of their house.
"Very well. The second question, are you really attacking the fleet of Umber and the Karstark family?"
"No. We are not."
Before I could say anything, I was interrupted by Lord Umber, who had a scowl on his face.
"That bastard is lying!"

|Jon Snow - The Bastard of Winterfell|
I know that this meeting will be a disaster. Lord Umber is very well known for his temper and how quick he is to use his fist. I can see him shout at Lord Antares about him lying to my father. Even my father knows that Lord Antares is not lying, but rather the two lords are lying to him.
"And why should I lie to you, Lord Umber? We gain nothing from lying to Lord Stark."
"Don't talk to your better with that tone, boy! I know you are lying because we all know that your people are savage cannibals who raid other ships to eat the people inside."
I can see the young lord release a tired sigh before saying.
"Please offer your evidence, Lord Umber. Since the beginning, you have nothing but shouting about me lying to Lord Stark and how I'm a savage that will eat his children. I want your evidence about your house not attacking our house first. If you don't have any evidence, I will be the one presenting them."
"Heh. As if you have any evidence."
Lord Antares took out a parchment from his pocket and gave it to my father with another sigh. My father read it for a few seconds, and I can see the longer my father read it, the paler Lord Umber and Lord Karstark's faces become.
I think it was because of the emblem behind the parchment. It was the emblem of the Umber and Karstark family.
After a minute of reading, my father put the letter down and looked at the two lords.
"Do you have evidence that makes you innocent, my lord?"
Instead of offering evidence, I can see Lord Karstark get up from his seat and say,
"If you decide to trust the word of the barbarian, so be it. We will solve this matter ourselves."
I can see my father look at Richard Karstark, the man who bears the same name as my Grandfather as if he is an idiot.
"So you decide to attack Skagos? That is how you handle this problem?"
"Yes! This is a matter of pride and honor! The barbarian attacking our fleet, our pride, and now you decide to trust the word and false evidence given to you that is our honor."
"Very well. Two years. That is how much time I give to you to solve this matter."
I look at my father with a shocked expression, the same expression being worn by Lord Antares.
"Are you letting them attack our house, my Lord? While we are small, we are still your subject."
"I know. However, they decide to declare that this is an internal conflict between Karstark and Skagos. I cannot intervene in an internal fight."
When my father says that, I can see Lord Antares's expression change from shock to confusion before settling into devoid of any expression.
"I see. Then this matter is settled."
"Aye. Umber, Karstark, and Skagos will settle this matter between themselves."
"I see. My Lord, can I ask you a boon?"
"Ask away."
"My people and I want to be independent. We want to be separated away from the North and create our own kingdom. We want to be one of the Eighth kingdoms in Westeros."
My father looked at him for a few seconds before saying.
"And what makes you worthy of that title? What kind of price do you want to offer for that freedom? As the Lord Paramount of the North Warden of the North, I have the power to give you that title, but what kind of offer can you give me for that title?"
"Three million Gold Coins."
When he says that, I can see the whole meeting room stay silent for a few seconds before Lord Umber and Lord Karstark start laughing. The person who did not laugh was Lord Antares, his guard, and my father.
Even I have a smirk on my face because I know it was impossible. Three million gold coins is a mountain of coins, and with it, you can build your own house from the ground and still have something left to make you a wealthy house.
"Very well. Get out of this mess and bring me three million gold coins, then I will give you the title you deserve."
