"My lady, here is the information you asked for" Santos hands her the file in which Vincent's information lies. Athena is more than eager to find out what the man is here for and who he is really.
"You may leave," she says without bothering to look up. Santos bows slightly and leaves the office of Athena's, closing the door behind him.
She flips the first page and casually looks at his biodata written on the paper. The page has what she already knows but the second page surprises her. She comes across the information about him being a native of Arcillia. She thought he is from Warlow but it turns out she doesn't have to throw me out anymore.
But there isn't much about him. It's as if his identity is secured and all the information that she is reading is all that he wants to show. Athena closes the document and takes a moment to think of what to do next. She cannot keep him in that dungeon forever. Since his coming here has to do with more than just his dramatic love for her, his family will be searching for him.
She remembers the butler she met at the hotel and judging by that, Vicent isn't a normal guy. There isn't much about his family, just the names of his parents and that's all. It feels odd but Athena cannot name what.
The man gives her the vibe that he is up to something but without any full evidence, she cannot do anything about that. She sighs and rings for Cynthia.
Within two minutes, Cynthia enters the office and stands in front of the desk where Athena is sitting behind on the leather chair.
"We can't throw him out" Athena informs. At her words, Cynthia's expression changes into dissatisfaction and she is quick to ask why.
"He is not from Warlow. He is a native here and keeping him here is against our rules. We gotta free him before his family does something."
"My lady, but that man won't leave. How are you expecting him to go on his will?" Cynthia argues. She has the point as well and this is the main hindrance.
"I was thinking about drugging him and leaving him somewhere on the road at night," Athena says without meaning to follow that. Cynthia likes it anyway because she cannot bear the sight of that man or anywhere near Athena.
"My lady, can't we perform that?"
"We cannot. If we could, we already have done that."
"Then what choices are we left with?"
"I–" Right then, a knock comes on the door, and they both wonders who can it be. "Come in!" Athena yells adjusting her sitting position.
The secretary who is in charge of the ground floor steps inside and Athena cocks an eyebrow at her coming. "Yes, Lucy?"
"A man asked me to give you this. He said it is something important" the Secretary replies, handing her the envelope.
"What's his name?" Cynthia asks.
"He didn't say any of that."
"What? How can you take anything from any random man? This is very irresponsible of you."
"I am well aware of that but that man said this letter has to be sent to Miss CEO. He also added that Miss Athena knows him" Lucy explains herself.
That makes Athena suddenly interested in that envelope. She takes it from Lucy and opens it to take out the letter inside.
Athena's breath hitches and the grip on the paper tightens as her eyes roam on the paper.
I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED IN YOU, AMORA. I HAVE THOUGHT YOU WOULD FIGHT BACK BUT YOU DIDN'T. THAT'S NOT HOW A FOLLOWHILL SHOULD ACT. NEVER MIND, THIS CARD IS TO LET YOU KNOW I AM IN THE VERY SAME AREA AS YOU. YET YOU CAN NOT FIND ME.
DO YOU WANT TO KNOW SOMETHING INTERESTING? SOMETHING THAT IS RELATED TO YOUR GRANDFATHER? WELL, YOU ARE MOST INVITED TO THE PARTY TONIGHT.
–C.
"Mother–" Athena pauses, realizing Lucy is still here. She clears her throat and dismisses Lucy. "You may leave. "
The moment the door is shut, Athena lets out the unfinished curse, "Motherfucker! Bastard. "
"My lady, what is it?" Cynthia asks, worrying why Athena is suddenly in rage.
"It's Cario. That old man is challenging me" Athena says through her gritted teeth. She takes a look at the paper again and then throws it across the office. The address of the party is still inside the envelope.
"What he wants?" Cynthia questions, going to stand beside Athena. Cynthia assumes he must want to lure her the same way as last time. As much as Athena hates him, Cynthia hates him too. She remembers he is also the one buying her but fortunately, Athena got her. At that time, Athena's grandfather used to treat Cario as his son but something happened overnight, and they became a nemesis.
"He is putting out a trap again. Find out about the party that is going to happen" she pauses and takes out the royal blue card where the address of the party is written. "at Equator Hall, behind Flamingo SuparMart."
Cynthia takes the card from Athena's hold and goes to her office to dig out about its information.
By this time, Athena thinks about what to do with the guy in her house. She calls the house number and waits for someone to pick up the call.
"Followhill Mansion" a female voice comes from the other line.
"Glen?"
"Yes, my lady."
"I am calling to know about that man," Athena says, finding herself getting stuck when talking about Vincent. "What's the situation?"
"He has been quiet. The food I gave earlier, he hasn't eaten that as well."
Quiet means the situation is still the same. Athena needs to talk to him now that she knows where he belongs. "I see. Thanks for letting me know Glen." With that, she ends the call and curses under her breath. "Foolish."

"Have you found out about it?" Athena asks Cynthia while stepping into the car. Cynthia nods but before wears the seatbelt. Once the car starts moving, Cynthia tells her about the party.
"Baron Sims is the one who is hosting the party. He is 34 years two times divorced and is also the CEO of Sims Galaxy. They have opened a new branch in Masschute and the party is for this reason. All important businessmen are invited. The party is going to start from seven-thirty."
"Important businessmen huh? Then, why am I not invited? Perhaps he didn't hear of me?" Athena scoffs. She has heard of Sims Galaxy– the newly opened jewelry enterprise which is launched last year. Although Baron Sims is not any of her business yet she cannot help but feel her ego getting hurt.
"Baron Sims didn't invite any female business owners or CEOs. It is said that he doesn't see them as competition" Cynthia adds. That makes Athena mad. They are living in the 20th century yet his thoughts are medieval.
"But female partners along the businessmen are invited and dancers, waiters too."
"He is definitely a neurotic creep" Athena comments, looking out of the window and witnessing the dusk time.
"My lady, are we going then?" Cynthia questions.
Athena smirks and turns towards Cynthia. "Of course. The party is more than just a normal party and it is very similar to the last one we been."
"They may pull the same act as last time" Cynthia agrees.
"Tell Santos to get us the invitation cards required. And, does this party have any theme?"
"No, no theme. I will notify him right away." The car enters the Followhill Mansion gates and stops once they reach. The driver gets out of the car and opens the car for Athena. Cynthia steps out along with Athena and they both walks inside the house.
Sometimes the quietness makes Athena sad. The house once was full of words and laughter. So many people, so much fun. But now, only she remains.
Without wasting any second, Athena heads to the Main Hall and asks the two guards to get the man to come out.
She waits for him on her throne, scrolling the screen of her phone. She has two hours before she leaves for the party so she has to finish the work with Vincent quickly.
A few minutes later, the guards bring him in and push him in front, in the center of the checkered floor. Cynthia with a smirk goes to stand by the pillar along with Beckham who is present.
"Athena" Vincent smiles faintly and mumbles her name as if he is hypnotized by her. "You must have missed me, right?"
"No, I don't. Besides, I am here to have a little discussion with you" she asserts coldly. The smile falls from Vincent's face but the hope in his eyes remains.
She proceeds, "I have come to know that you are Arcilia. Am I correct?"
Vincent blinks twice and his expression changes into serious. His eyebrows slightly draw in but it quickly disappears. "Yes! Have you researched me?"
Cynthia is irritated as to why he is happy about it. "Yes, I did and there's nothing to be happy about," Athena says in that usual distant tone. "Don't you think your parents might be worried about you because you are missing for almost a day now?"
"I am not a nine-year-old kid, Athena" he takes that as a joke and laughs.
"Stop laughing, arsehead!" Cynthia yells at him. She cannot help herself from not stepping in middle.
Vincent turns towards her and gives her a prideful smirk that makes her blood boil. "Oh! So you do know how to curse! Interesting!"
"Both of you," Athena tells to Beckham and Cynthia by gesturing them with her glance, "leave us alone for a moment."
Knowing she cannot argue, Cynthia exits from the Hall and waits in the living room.
