The confidence and arrogance in his voice made me involuntarily shudder.

"Is this normally how you approach girls for a date? Because if it is, you need some serious work buddy" I told him but his face remained of indifference. 

"Your answer?" He asked, completely ignoring what I said.

"Wow. Its like I'm invisible." I shrugged before I turned to walk away, only to be yanked back and thrown over his shoulder. My eyes, cold and sharp glared at him in anger.

"Her most life threatening injury was to the head, she sustained it when she fell from the stairs her" the doctor told the family in front of him. 


"Epidural hematoma. A clot was formed from the bleeding and it's continuing to grow. The longer we take to perform, the longer it will take for her to regain consciousness" he explained to them. 


Vanessa couldn't keep herself up anymore, losing all strength in her legs she collapsed. If Patrick wasn't next to her she would have made impact with the floor. 


"Not my baby" she sobbed on her husband's chest. 


"The only way to fix it is to operate on her but I need a signature from the next of kin. I'm waiting on her body scan results to know how major the surgery will be. Oh! Here it is" A nurse handed a grey file to the doctor. 


"What does it say?" Patrick asked the doctor.
