After accumulating all that DP from slaughtering the goblins, Astaroth had wanted to check out the store to see what there was to buy.
But first, he had to check out the reward for completing the tutorial.
[Demon lord tutorial: have 5 subordinates - 5/5 Completed!]
[Would you like to acquire your rewards?]
"yes"
[For completing the tutorial, you are rewarded with the following]
- 2,000 DP
- 1 free beast voucher from the DP shop
- All skills level up by 1 Lvl
Reading through the rewards, Astaroth was pretty satisfied.
The tutorial was relatively easy, and he still got such great rewards.
"Status," said Astaroth

[Dungeon Management]
[Dungeon Point Shop]
The first thing he noticed was he had unlocked a new class called (Apprentice Swordsman)
While this was good, he immediately noticed his Magic tier went up to mid 3rd circle, he wondered if there would be some type of requirement to get to the 4th circle.
After he was done checking his status, Astaroth opened the store for two things.
Firstly, he wanted to browse the beast from the shop and see what he could use the voucher on.
Secondly, he wanted to see how much monster subordinates would cost him
And so, he opened the dungeon point shop.
[Dungeon Point Shop]
- Monsters
- Beasts
- Weapons
- Armours
- Metal Ores'
- Misc.
He then clicked on the Beasts tab.
[Beasts]
- Mounts
- War Beasts
- Utility Beasts
Intrigued, Astaroth opened the war beast tab but was left with disappointment.
[Voucher only works on mounts. Would you like to still browse?]
Although he was a little annoyed, Astaroth still decided to browse to see what kind of beasts were in there as well as the prices.
[War Beasts]
- Land
- Air
- Sea
While an Aerial type beast would be advantageous later on, as long as he was in the dark lush forest, he would not need one. so, he went with a land beast.
Astaroth was surprised at the sheer number of options there were.
It took him about an hour to look through all of the choices and once he was finished, he went back to the other categories and looked through those as well for another two or so hours, once he was done with that, he narrowed it down to five choices.
[Land Beasts]
- (Mounts) Commander Tempest Wolf Lvl 30, Peak C rank
(Description: Commander Tempest Wolf is a magic wolf who tempered his body with the elements of wind and lightning, these wolves can be extremely destructive by themselves but when they group up it's like a calamity class storm descends on the area. Commander Tempest Wolf has also evolved to be able to lead their pack most efficiently, they are the greatest alphas the wolf clan can offer. These wolves also get stronger for every subordinate they have under them.)
- (Mounts) Volcanic Hell Lion Lvl 30, Early B rank
(Description: Volcanic Hell Lions are known for their fierce wrath, a single one of these beats if enraged could level a small city without breaking a sweat. While these lions can lead a pride, they work best alone, their attacks tend to do immense area damage, so they tend to sweep up any bystanders in their attacks. {Caution! be careful in forests with these beasts!})
- (Mounts) Glacial White Tiger Lvl 30, Early B rank
(Description: Glacial White Tigers although rare, are sought after by all people. These beasts have the same destructive power as a Commander Tempest Wolf maybe more. While they are strong there comes a downside, these beasts are extremely prideful and will only recognize a master who is more powerful than them, while this may not be a problem for cubs who have been raised by the same person all their lives, when trying to tame an adult always have an escape plan, these creatures have intelligence comparable to humans and they have schemes just as intricate.)
- (War Beasts) Commander Earth Ape Lvl 25 Lvl 25, Early C rank
(Description: While these beasts may not have the greatest individual strength, Earth Apes are quite fatal when in groups, and when a group forms that's when a Commander Earth Ape comes in. These commanders usually aren't known for their martial prowess, no they are known for their clever and thought-out battle plans and formations. Most beasts evolve towards mighty skills, magic, and strength but these beasts although not defenseless by any means, evolved their intellect and strategy skills. These apes work as great strategists in any army.
- (Utility Beasts) Bipedal Ant Queen Lvl 20, Early C rank
(Description: While this beast is ranked at c rank, their martial prowess is almost non-existent, these creatures depend on their nest that they hatch themselves. A queen ant starts by herself but in a matter of weeks, she can create a nest of thousands of bipedal ants. while this would be good for a workforce to build structures and the like, there comes a downside. the first generation of bipedal ants starts weak with the same strength as a common goblin however over time, each generation grows stronger as the queen gets older and subsequently stronger.)
These were Astaroth's top five choices for a beast companion.
Astaroth weighed the pros and cons of each of these 5 beasts.
He got rid of the Volcanic Hell Lion due to it being a danger to the environment and its allies.
Next, he took out the Glacial White Tiger due to him not being powerful enough to make it completely submit.
Then, he axed the Commander Earth Ape, although a strategist would be nice, Astaroth was confident in his abilities plus Commander Tempest Wolf would be a better field general that would fight with its troops.
He was now left with two options, the Bipedal Ant Queen or Commander Tempest Wolf.
On one hand, the Bipedal Ant Queen would bolster his troops immensely as well as the workforce would increase, however, the troops would be weak, and it would take a long time for the new generations to get stronger.
Then you have Commander Tempest Wolf. This beast would undoubtedly help bolster his fighting force with its devastating magic and attacks, plus Astaroth would gain a powerful and faithful mount to ride into battle.
Before he made his decision, Astaroth opened the beast market and checked the original price for a normal Tempest Wolf.
He found that a single level 20, mid D rank Tempest wolf was 500 dungeon points, while he was tempted to just buy 10 of these creatures with his DP, he decided not to.
After some more lamenting on which beast he should choose, he finally decided on Commander Tempest Wolf.
And so, he clicked on the dungeon point shop, into the beasts' tab, and selected the beast he wanted.
[Would you like to use your free voucher on the (Commander Tempest Wolf)?]
"yes"
Immediately after he confirmed, a bright pillar of light descended in front of him and started pulsating.
Astaroth could see what seemed to be a wolf forming in the center of the pillar of light.
As time went on the wolf as well as the pillar got bigger and bigger until the now fully formed wolf was 2 meters tall and 3 meters long!
the "formation" of the wolf took roughly 2 hours to complete.
once it was done the pillar of light disappeared and in its place was a jet-black wolf with purple and yellow markings styled all on the body.
the eyes of the wolf were a deep bright purple that almost looked like lightning crackling inside, and the pupil of the wolf's eyes was a bright and beautiful golden yellow.
all around the body of the wolf, yellow and purple lightning crackled and frantically moved around.
Once the wolf saw Astaroth, without hesitation he bowed and spoke.
"Greetings, Master."
