He awoke on the floor. He felt as though his head had been smacked by a bat, or as if he had pounded a conspicuous amount of alcohol.

"Blackin' out is no good."

As he repositioned himself on his elbows he noticed something immediately which spread fear through the pit of his stomach like he had swallowed rocks. Two bodies. One man, one woman their cut throats pooling blood on the floorboards. He made no sound, no movement. Why the fuck where their two bodies in his…this was not his house. It was distinctly Japanese in character. Sliding paper doors were prominent among porcelain vases with cherry blossom patterns and wisteria bunched within. The floorboards were wood, but there was no rug in the foyer. It was obviously a nice domicile, spoiled only by the bodies, both of whom sported matching black hair. The door was open.

Wha..

All of a sudden he realized that things seemed much bigger than he remembered them being, and his voice much higher. Looking at his hand he realized that he was a child. Something tickled in his mind, a possibility that was impossible, a memory of nights spent browsing the web in search of a piece of literature that would sate his penchant for bloodshed. He rose sharply passing the bodies making the sign of the cross as he went. He knew what he looked for through the passageway, and as he gazed all around numbly noting the multitude of bodies that littered the street he saw it.

The Hokage monument, a blatant appropriation of Mt. Rushmore.

Holy shit he was in Naruto. And he could damn well guess whose body he inhabited.

"The Sharingan is mine."

He fought to quell the feelings of elation which rose within his bosom. This was neither the time nor place to celebrate the fact that by the time he was a teenager he would have power to rival the gods. This was Sasuke's body, and Sasuke's family littered all around him, evidence of the danger which haunted his every step and filled him with trepidation at the amount of men he would most likely cut down in this life. Of all things it was glancing into a corpse's eyes, realizing how disturbed he was by the light which was absent beneath them that sapped the excitement of adventure away. He raised a hand and did what he thought was best. Eyes closed he prayed for their souls, which if this was anything like the cannon events, and by God he hoped it was, were heading for the pure lands. It was some kind of heaven.

"May your souls rest in peace. I will deliver upon your slayers the death they deserve. By my honor."

Wind whistled through the air tossing his hair about as if to signify the spirit's acceptance.

It was the best thing to do in his mind. He had no doubts that this life would be hard, his other life had incomparable worries of its own, but he would not compromise his beliefs and values for an easy way out. Itachi would die, accursed is the kinslayer, and whatever motivations drove him to kill his entire clan the women and children were…unacceptable. Especially the children. On that same note Obito would have to die as well. He and Madara's plan for world peace was…stupid. Yes peace can be achieved if you rip everyone of their free will. Wow, who could have thought? Peace was a lie, as intangible as the wind. Which was an expression he suddenly realized wasn't as apt in this world, the wind could be controlled, but he digressed. The world could be made more peaceful, but never would the hearts of men be stilled to war. It was in our nature, it was a part of who we were. As inseparable as thirst and hunger, war was the result of men by men for men. It would die when the race of men did. If ever. Suddenly he realized that wind had just mystically swept through his hair to thematically signal his intentions as if a force was watching.

"Oh shit ghosts and spirits existed. Megh."

He fell to his knees and stared down with a devastated expression on his face. He also realized he would have to fight Kaguya which made godlike power a necessary prerequisite instead of a bonus. Well, in truth it wouldn't do to be acting perfectly normal when the ninja arrived.

It took ten minutes, almost as if on cue.

"Uchiha-san."

Huh, so the suffixes stay. Interesting. He didn't reply to the ANBU, Special Assisnation and Tactical Squad in English, and instead stared mutely ahead. He had a wolf mask, and greased down gray hair. Hmm, wonder who this could be. He hoped to God no one heard what he said before about the Sharingan.

"Sasuke."

He looked up at him emotionlessly. His head and shoulders fell a little, as if it weighed upon him to feel Sasuke's stare.

"Let's go to the hospital."

He reached his hand and in a swirl and blur that lasted only a few moments we were somewhere else. A white sterile looking building that held a sign that said Konoha general. Funny. They did a round of examinations, nothing of which he understood, especially when their hands glowed green. Next surprisingly came a psychological examination by no one other than Inoichi, head of the Yamanaka clan.

"Sasuke-kun, would you allow me to do a mindwalk to evaluate your mental state."

It made sense but he absolutely could not let him within his mind. So he reared back suddenly, his expression morphing into a mask of hate and rage.

"Never!"

His eyes widened slightly, but other than that he made no indication of surprise. He wrote something down on his pad.

"H-how are you feeling Sasuke?"

He gazed pensively at his feet. What should he say? Something which Sasuke Uchiha would actually say, but what? The simplest then.

"I will kill him."

He stared resolutely at Inoichi. He cringed like he had just said something regrettable but sighed and wrote it down, a mournful frown adopting his face. He asked a couple more questions but they only seemed tangentially related. For the most part he seemed to have gotten the answers he sought for and wrapped up the examination quickly.

"The Hokage would like to see you Sasuke-kun, is that fine?

He gave a measured gaze and nodded. On the inside anxiety rose as he kept the act up. He was confident in his acting skills, especially with fear as fuel to keep his real emotions down, but everything he knew of acting came from movies so…this could really go either way. Being exposed in such a way would be rather embarrassing. And lethal.

"Hello, Sasuke-kun."

Sarutobi Hiruzen, the Hokage of Konohagakure, the village hidden in the leaves, greeted me as he entered through the white door. The God of Shinobi. The Professor. Not gonna lie he looked dope. And his gaze, as if he was seeing through me. The man wore his hat and robes like they were arms and armor, and if he remembered correctly he was actually wearing armor underneath. Or maybe that was a one-time thing. Regardless he exuded confidence. His eyes softened as they fell on Sasuke's form and he took a seat near the bedside and lit his pipe. Inoichi didn't seem disturbed. Ahh so it was like the seventies, nice!

"Do you like my pipe, Sasuke-kun?"

"It's sweet."

The Hokage chuckled as he exhaled, smoke billowing from his mouth followed by a few bemused coughs.

"Indeed."

He closed his eyes as he took another long drag from the pipe. As if he was debating something in the lull of conversation.

"To kill him, you must become a shinobi. But that is not all your life can be. Konoha will always be safe; and it will always be your home Sasuke."

His eyes seemed almost pleading. As if he would like nothing in the world for me to accept this offer. Perhaps he had heard what he had said earlier, perhaps he knew of Itachi's real reasons for committing this atrocity and wished he would not go to Sasuke's brother to die or kill anything at all. But he could not accept this. It was an impossibility. He had sworn to by something he cared for more deeply than most things. All for honor.

"No. I'll never forgive him, never."

The steel in his eyes bit him like a blade. He could see the ages press upon him as his wrinkles grew deeper. He felt empathy for the man. It was not like he lacked morals, the will of fire, the protection of friends and family and the cherishing of relationships was not a bad philosophy by any means. His treatment of Naruto was suspect though, there was really no one to raise him as their own, but from what he could see the man genuinely cared. Or was a really good actor.

"I see."

He continued to talk with the Hokage for over an hour. The Uchiha district was fairly large, and we had not only constituted much of the police force but also owned thousands of property and shinobi tools, some scattered into the village proper itself. the essentials of the conversation boiled down to what would be done with such a vast amount of wealth and capital that he had just gained. The Hokage relented in his request to at least gain access to the base ryo, whose number made his heart soar in elation at the sheer capital, with the argument that he would be dedicating to his studies, welfare, and most importantly revenge. For the property he simply requested that everything but his home be rented, not in those exact words mind you as he was seven, or something like that, and there is no way anyone would take a seven year old seriously when he says the word rent. The Hokage must have been as equally impressed with his drastic change in demeanor as he was saddened by it. To see an honest heart turn to stone. Besides, even before this Sasuke had been a genius so it wasn't exactly out of character. Just improved by a few IQ points. The Hokage leaned back with a sigh.

"Before I depart, I would like you to know that you may stay home for a few days or a week. The academy can wait."

He paused. What he wanted was to throw himself into the ninja world as soon as possible, waiting would only be detrimental to his development. Orochimaru would be there at the Chunin exams, and that was to speak nothing of Zabuza and Haku in Wave where the original Sasuke nearly died. No, going to the academy could not wait. He summoned up his will gazing at the Hokage with certainty, hoping beyond hope his gaze conveyed strength, nearly startling when the world grew crystal clear and tinged in scarlet hues. He pressed on despite it.

"I can go."

The Hokage peered into his eyes with a stony expression. Perhaps gauging whether or not he meant it, that he could really handle it. Perhaps surprised by Sasuke's sudden activation of the Sharingan, the illusory eyes whirling at his command. Finally the Hokage rose with the sigh of a deadman and made for the door.

"Then may it be so, Sasuke-kun." he paused at the door, turning his head back his way. "Farewell Sasuke. Darken my doorstep whenever you like."

As he left he realized that he could tell he meant it, or at least everything about his demeanor and presence, every miniscule expression gave me a hint that he probably meant it. Or he was a really good actor. Ooh, the Sharingan was just perfection. Both of the other occupants vacated the room with that said.

Alone at last. He kept the Sharingan active, well more specifically he had no idea how to turn it off even if he wanted to. But it suited him to have a perfect recollection of everything he saw. He did not care even if it was a memory of himself stepping in dogshit, he would rather have that memory than lose it. Because it was his. Oh God he's gonna be maniacally laughing every two seconds when he's free of this hospital. But this momentary repose gave him an opportunity to plan. Zabuza, Orochimaru, the Akatsuki, Obito, Madara, and finally Kaguya. Let's work backwards.

Kaguya could be prevented by spoiling both Madara and the Akatsuki's plan, meaning he would have to kill every single member of the organization including Pain, Obito and Madara. Daunting but not impossible, considering nearly half of the members were reprehensibly insane or simply arrogant, knowing their rough personality traits would essentially let him know what to expect. Especially since their powers were no mystery to him. For example Hidan may seem immortal, but he had read somewhere that he could apparently die from starvation. So if he could simply cut off his head and sew his mouth shut, he would die. He also doesn't regenerate, so complete obliteration was absolutely possible…almost laughed again. Since one could seal chakra, and therefore Jutsu, and one could also restrain as one of its three abilities; regularly making or buying sealing scrolls means he could have an infinite amount of scrolls that contained high level Jutsu which he used on paralyzed targets. Or just explosions as he still didn't know what an explosive tag was sealing, the manga used sealing to do a variety of things that didn't exactly seem like seal, unseal, restrain but he was certain from several sources that it just worked that way. Or he was pretty sure Kishimoto said it did anything.

Similarly he had read that Jutsu-Shiki, or technique formula, was the basis for the fourth Hokage's Flying Thunder God Technique. Meaning as long as he simply copied the formula he could perform the Jutsu. At least, that was the most logical assumption as from what he could remember the technique consisted of just four kanji. Literally that seemed to be it.

Most of any of the plans he was formulating heavily involved the Sharingan. Supposedly it could not only memorize things that had previously been seen before, but also allowed the user to use complete mind control, which worked on tailed beasts of all things, as well subtler forms of suggestion and hypnosis without the user being alerted. Thank God he ran a Naruto dnd campaign and had to balance out the insanity which the Sharingan allowed. Izanagi and Izanami didn't even need a Mangekyo, and you could pre-program Izanagi to activate under set conditions such as: death. Literally his death could be avoided at the sacrifice of one of his eyes provided an Uchiha didn't use Izanami on him to create a time loop until he accepted his death as reality. Yeah the Sharingan was bullshit. He didn't even know what his Mangekyo Sharingan would be. He just needed to find out where these techniques were, or who used them for ultimate power to be his. Maybe the Uchiha were the real übermensch after all. Living any moment at any time and remaining unphased by it…whew we're getting philosophical up in here.

Sasuke Uchiha looked at the white ceiling above him as he laid back, for it was only relevant to him that this body was Sasuke's regardless of the mind, and closed his eyes. He dreamed of infinite power underneath an illusory scarlet spinning sky.
