The Rabbit

It was hellish and eerie; the closet burst open with stuff and the window cracked behind me. I hid under the covers, the wind rustling, the noises and the voices; it all faded and it was pin drop silence, too quiet. I moved the sheets away, got up from my bed. I grabbed my hilt from my table and conjured my dagger. I heard a crackle, I turned around and it was under my bed with blood ruby eyes. It was laughing whilst chewing bones in his mouth. It licked his fingers and burned his fingers and it was cleansed. He just stared at me with a grin.

"Good Morning, Sunnyside Valley! Today on this wonderful 16th of June on a Sunday in the year 2058, the day is looking bright and cheery with 31 degrees outside; the council will once again have their yearly LACs. Don't forget to charge yourself up with some G-Elium Coffee to help your morning look forward to a good one. As always the LACs will be held at the Grand Theatre, tickets start from two hundred to fifty thousand and three hundred and fifty credits. All ten seats will arrive and test your strengths to see how hard you worked for it. As the saying goes, 'The only things holding you back are us', said by the council. We will get back to after these commercials."

It is so loud…..My head hurts and I can hear birds squealing, my eyes are scorched and I wake up on the side of the road. My shirt is torn; my ears have corroded blood in them, the skin tearing off my lips, my finger nails busted and my body is covered in scars. I cannot recall anything that happened before of how I got myself in this situation or even who I am. I woke in the middle of a dessert; the only thing I can remember is I was waiting for someone. As I used my arms to support myself to get up, I hear several snaps and I screamed. I look at my arms and they both are broken. I will not get anything done, if I'm still at the same spot. I need to find answers, so I tried my very best getting up and I couldn't budge. I screamed for help and no one heard me, the only person that could help me was I, so I flipped myself over, bent my body and pushed myself up using my legs. I managed to stand up but I was so closing to passing out again, so I had to quickly make use of my time very fast and find someone. I looked everywhere and I found myself stranded. I saw a figure in the distance, I tried yelling, but my voice was already torn, I tried my very best to reach to them but I was too far beyond reach. He yelled at the last moment, "impressive." I wanted to get out this hellhole and I was not going to stay here and die like a rat. Miniscule bit of energy, my body is busted and my eyes hurt but I kept going and I reached my hand in hopes they would grab it. As I kept sprinting towards them, they became clearer and clearer, it was a person with a red jacket with a black shirt underneath, with loose denims along with curly hair and blue eyes. I was so close but the ground starting shaking and I stopped, I took a moment to look around me and I saw it got harder for me to breathe. I looked at the person and they were gone, I was so confused with what was happening. I looked behind me and there was a huge sandstorm that stirred up. A tree in front of me was trying to get sucked into it but a huge branch broke off and headed towards my direction. It past me and once it got sucked into the sandstorm, the sandstorm expanded and grew larger and larger just by that branch. It caught up with me, I couldn't walk anymore and I was in the air. I went inside and it was pitch black inside. I couldn't see anything, but all of a sudden, it was so loud...…It was so loud and my head hurts and once I again I can hear birds squeaking and someone talking about Sunnyside Valley's weather and something along the lines of 'LACs.' I quickly open my eyes once again and I was in the same situation I was in before. My entire body looks worn and broken; I quickly raise my head to see the figure in the distance. I needed answers; I was not making any progress, so I slowly tried to support myself up without using my arms. I rose and walked to the figure carefully, my suspicion is that I alerted him and that he conjured up the sandstorm. I then slowly tried to increase my speed and eventually ran to him again, I heard a huge thunder behind my back, I looked to see it was the sandstorm, I looked back at the figure and he was once again gone, I tried my best to run away from the storm but eventually I got sucked in and inside everything was loud. It was a never ending loop, I tried to think of something else, and then once again I got up carefully. Once I got up I ran away from them in hopes of finding something, I saw nothing. I kept walking till I found some sort of clues; I saw a few scorpions and some snake skin that was on my feet. I removed it and proceeded to walk a little more forward. This was the most my legs could handle so I had to be very careful. I saw a hilt on the ground next to a bush, I reached for it and I yelled, something in the bush stung me. I pushed the bush away, it was a scorpion but what was unusual that it had a crescent moon crest on its body. That was a first, but then again seeing a sandstorm out of nowhere suck me up and I end myself back at square 1 was unusual as well. I grabbed the broken blade, I heard a faint broiling sound and it was happening on the hilt of the sword. It was not just burning but writing the name, 'Rose.' Out of the blue, my hand started burning; I screamed in pain and grabbed my left hand, my entire left arm fell off from the scorching pain. I wanted to know what was hurting me so I looked on my arm on the ground and there is a crescent moon tattoo under my hand, similar to the scorpion. I was again yet so confused because I have no idea what was happening and how to escape from this. I was agitated, I used my right arm to grab the blade from my left arm and soon as I picked it up something was whistling under me. I looked under me and all of a sudden a huge sand storm conjured up under me and I was in the air for a few seconds, I closed my eyes and it all stopped. But it still hurt that it was too loud. I was back to where I was. I quickly scurried to check my left arm without supporting myself up or I would snap them. It seems my hands works fine until I use myself to get up. I still had the tattoo; my speculation is that the name on the sword was my name. I once again slowly got up and this time I walked towards the loud noise, which was a woman on television reading the news. She mentioned about coffee and some council, which was irrelevant but I did want to know the date. It was the 16thof June in 2058. I knew I had to get that sword, so I ran towards the direction where it was; in this case this was also the direction of the sandstorm. I scurried as fast I could with my weak legs could take. But before I could reach it, the sandstorm conjured up once again and sent me back to square one. I had nothing to say, every time I try to escape from it, it takes me but if I try to go towards it and try to get the blade, which I couldn't, it still takes me. What am I supposed to do, here? If only he was there to help me............…..

Wait! I was actually waiting for someone and it was a "he." I was not even thinking of the strange person here in the distance with me. Who was I waiting for? What is he to me? Where is he?

I needed answers yet again and they were not going to be answered if mope around and feeling sorry for myself. I rose up wand my hands snapped and I slammed once again to the ground. I didn't have time to stay there so I again got back up, it hurts and I am screaming both inside and outside. I rose and ran towards the figure with everything I got. I had no care in the world for my body. I kept running and running and the figure smiled at me. That agitated me even more; I heard the sandstorm behind me being conjured. I didn't look behind me; I wanted to lock my eyes on this person so he could not escape my vision. So I simply kept running, he neared and neared to me, he was finally within my reach. I did not offer him my hand though, instead at the last moment I leapt at him and in hopes of catching him, but then I forgot I couldn't catch without my arms. This was such a waste; I should've slowly got up and tried to attempt it. He smiled at me once more, jumped high, landed right on my hips, held my chest, pulled it from my body and split it in half. I was screaming in agony, it hurt more than it did when arms were torn off. He then tossed me into the storm. It was blurry and black, it was back to being so loud. I woke up; slowly rose up and then I gradually started to sprint. I then once again ran towards him, but this time I figured out a plan, I ran to him without hesitating, the sandstorm was behind me for the last time...I swear this is the last time. I ran to him and once he was within my reach, I leapt for him. He was prepared to jump, but whilst we both were in air I caught his legs and I slammed him on the ground with me. He choked and screamed in agony, I too screamed because we both slammed. He rose quickly and I quickly raised my arm with little energy I had left.

Please I know you are there afar! Please help me! I haven't had any time left. I can't come to you, please come to me, please......…

I felt it in my hand, it gripped it real tight. I looked his happy and stunned face; I looked at him and aimed it right at him. My last bit of energy and I plunged my broken blade at his mouth and it pierced all the way to the back of his neck.
