A brief reunion

Jan 5th 2013:

A new year had begun, and that meant the continuation of the filming for the show and me reaching closer to a possible debut. I would turn 15 this year, meaning I would become that much closer to being able to debut. Another two episodes of the show had been aired after the Christmas special. They were just casual episodes where all the trainees were given challenges to complete around Seol. It is a four-part event, and two parts had been aired so far. We had all been gathered in the living room and given a picture. That picture would lead us to a famous location in Seoul where we would receive a challenge. We had to complete the challenge to move on to the next location. We had 5 locations in total to get to. Of course, the filming for these episodes had already finished and we were preparing for the filming of another challenge episode. I was currently in my school cafeteria having lunch with Kim So-Yeon and ha Seungri. The first thing they had done when I arrived at school complained about the fact I hadn't come to school in over 2 months. I had completed my school work via correspondence due to the survival show. However, now that we had enough backlog of episodes, about 8, I was allowed to return to school during the week. My friends had asked a lot of questions, and so had many of my classmates. They wanted to know things about the show and what it was like being a trainee. they also wondered why I had dyed my hair again after I had turned it back at the beginning of last year. Ha Seungri and So-Yeon also noted the fact that I was using contacts again, and asked me the one question I was waiting for. Why did Seol Young pretend to be me? Of course, I didn't have an answer for this and told them so.

Of course, I also introduced Na-Yeon, Jihyo and the other girls who were at school to my friends. They seemed to hit it off well. The TWICE trainees, so I call them, also had many questions for me. The first was why I hadn't told them about the show before it was released. To which I replied that JYP swore us to confidentiality. The second thing they had to talk about was my song ADVICE which I performed in episode 5 and Raise the Standard in episode 6. They were gushing about how good they were and wanted the music so they could perform them for their evaluations. I declined them this time and told them that it was due to the events that occurred following me showing them MOVE. They were a little disappointed, but they understood my caution.

I also found out that Ha Seungri had finally been offered a contract with Seoul FC. He was set to make his debut in two weeks against Ulsan Hyundai FC. I promised him that I would watch the game on TV as I wouldn't be able to go and watch live. So-Yeon had also been cast into another Drama. This time she had landed the lead role in a drama called The Heirs. She was to play a character called Cha Eun Sang. If my memories served me right, then that role had been played by Park Shin Hye in my other life, but it looks like So-Yeon managed to get the role this time.

Following the end of school, I rushed back to JYPE and headed straight for the dorm as the issuing of our next challenge was going to happen very soon. I walked in the door and was instantly dragged into the living room by Hyun-Shik. "Right on time Jin-Ho, the challenge is just about to be revealed!" he said while half carrying me into the room. I was the only member of the trainees who still went to school. Some completed correspondence, but most had graduated high school now. Akira (17), Hayashi (17), DongBang (18) and Chan-wook (18) were the only others who were studying anything but they were studying completely by correspondence. Everyone else was over the age of 18, while I was 15 turning 16 making me the youngest here.

I sat down on the couch, still in my uniform. EVE turned on and distributed the challenge. "Welcome trainees! I have your next challenge for you all. You have done so well up until now, I hope you can continue in that vein. Your next challenge is a DANCE OFF!" EVE announces. Akira, DongBang and Chan-wook all look excited. I'm reasonably comfortable with my abilities so don't have to worry. Hayashi and Seol Young were just like me, nervous, but confident. Hyun-Shik, Youngjae, Kyu-Bong all looked nervous and a little pale at the thought of having to compete in dance.

ADAM then turned on and explained the rules to us. "Each trainee is to choreograph a dance to the song given to them. They are given 3 weeks to practice before they are to perform for JYP and two dance trainers who will be the judges for this challenge. Good luck to all the trainees. You will find your song selection in an envelope on your pillow." With that EVE and ADAM shut off and we were left to discover the song we were given and to figure out our choreographies. Of course. I had to do this while also attending school, but that shouldn't be too much of an issue. I decided that I would first check out the song that I had been given for this challenge. I enter the room that now only houses Hayashi and me as Akira moved into a room that had more space. Since the numbers had gone down, the rooms had been reverted to two-man rooms which made things a little more spacious for us all. I walk over to my bed and pick up the envelope, I open it and read the contents. I sigh in despair as I find out the song that I had been assigned.
