Last Chance

I stared up at Jun, who smiled despite finding out we were eavesdropping.

Kyōko and I exchanged glances, sitting in front of each other. Her smile had disappeared. I couldn't do more than shake my head.

I knew this was a bad idea.

I stood up and followed Jun and his ex-girlfriend a few steps behind. Kyōko joined me a couple of seconds later, carrying her drink and our hotdogs.

The hat and the sunglasses were of no use anymore, so I took them off. Kyōko couldn't do the same with her busy hands.

The four of us reached the banister of the second floor, which let you look down at the first floor.

Jun and his ex-girlfriend turned around, allowing us to see her up close for the first time. Her bowl cut was dyed white, and she had a soft smile on her face despite the awkward situation she was in.

She really is gorgeous.

Jun crossed his arms and his smile disappeared.

"Mind explaining yourselves?" he asked.
