Strange Coincidences

Koji Araki stood at the entrance. Jun looked back at me as if nothing had happened, while I couldn't keep my eyes from glancing between Jun and Araki.

"That's Araki," I whispered to Jun.

Jun's eyes opened wide. He snapped his head back to look at Araki.

Sachiko approached Araki a second later. Instead of walking him to the director's office, she showed him the way to a vacant seat next to the graphic and 3D designers.

"What a coincidence, huh?" said Jun.

"Scary, even," I replied. "There'll probably be a meeting in a bit, so I better code some more."

"Good idea."

I pushed myself backward with Jun's desk to return to my place next to Kyōko. I hadn't seen her so focused on something since I met her. Even her cup of coffee was full. I had no reason to bother her, so I got to work.
