Up Your Alley

Work returned to normal after the meeting. Everyone filled their roles for the following days and weeks, starting by improving the workflow.

The artists focused on improving the quality of the visuals and, along with the help of drawing more concept art and the recently hired 3D animator, the changes became evident quickly. The bushes and trees now rustled to simulate wind, and particles of leaves fell off the branches. The ground was also better detailed with animated grass.

As for the lack of things to do in the world, the gathering of materials would improve that a little with rocks to mine, trees to chop, and resources to pick up. But even after adding landmarks and places to explore with quests, it would be impossible to fill every corner of the map with things to do. It also wasn't a good idea to add too many things, from both the player and the developer perspective.
