"I don't approve." William Griffith snapped, and she pursed her lips and stopped arguing.
She stared at him, wanting to know the answer to a question she had never asked before, "William, when did you start to like me?"
Seeing her gaze, William Griffith felt embarrassed and broke the silence:
"Wanna have lunch together?"
"No, I've already made plans with Er Xi."
"How about dinner then?"
"We'll see about that later. William, we're heading out, bye."
After only a few short sentences, Cherish Turner hung up the phone. William Griffith's brows furrowed, feeling somewhat displeased. Ever since he returned from the United States, he'd felt that something was off, but he couldn't pinpoint it. Frustrated, he pressed the intercom button and ordered, "Secretary Lee, order lunch for me."
"Ding Dong—" Yannis Griffith knocked on the door and entered, his suit casually thrown over his shoulder. "Edward Smith is treating us to lunch, you coming?"
