She Died Smiling

Rage and passion in his eyes as he ravaged her, stealing her innocence without consent, a pride lost in a swooping night, moaning not made out of ecstasy but hatred and regrets, he ravaged on. Even the deafening sound of her scream could not drown the blaring rock on his stereo as it blare away high metal rock. He is at it again, so assumed his neighbors, only this time his intent was mischievous. She wriggled her hands towards a broken bottle, a swift thrust to his throat left him cold dead, drowned in a pool of crimson red, eyes staring at blank space. The defense counsel could not sway the mind of the judge that it was manslaughter. A quick scribbling with a face as stern as a beast wearing his red gown, teeth clenched to each other as he pronounced his sentence "that you be hanged by the neck till you are dead and may God have mercy on your soul", the cry of her mother could be heard a thousand kilometers away.

The hangman was well hooded, covered from the pitiful faces of onlookers as he kicked the chair. The sound of her breaking neck was heard, well-wishers and sympathizers quickly look away, as they later summoned the courage to gaze upon her lifeless body they saw fulfillment and pride written all over her face, she had died smiling.
