Resumption of training.

Her facial expression was reluctant, but Hugo wouldn't let her say no. He strolled to where the ladder was which she'll use in coming down, stretched his right hand, and said to her,

"Vera, grab my hand, come down, join us, have fun".

She glanced at his hand for some seconds, then she held it, sat up on her bed, and began descending the ladder. She reached down and glanced at Hugo in a way, there was a type of look in her eyes, like, there was something about him. Hugo said to her,

"You shouldn't be staying there all by yourself, you should flex out. We are in the same group, we should always be with each other when we have the chance. We should get to know more about each other".

Then they began strolling to Hugo's bed where the rest were, and the moment they reached the bed, Hugo said to Everett and Evelyn,

"Vera is here".

And with that, she joined them in what they were doing, she brought out her phone also as they played games together. She smiled a lot, and her smile was really beautiful, she was the epitome of beauty. Numerous times, Hugo stoled glances at her, but he was doing it cautiously, he didn't want her to notice.

He couldn't help glancing at her, she was too beautiful. At this point, he wasn't confused about his feelings anymore, he had fallen for her. And the best part of it was, her apathetic attitude wasn't revealing itself right now, she was so free. While he was in the Ivairis kingdom, he had come across lots of pretty girls, but none of them were as pretty as, Vera.

That's why since his stay in the Ivairis kingdom before the destruction, he had had only one crush. And after some time passed and he came to notice that what he was feeling was infatuation, not love, he hadn't crushed on any girl again since then. The girl was pretty, but her character was too bad. He noticed that when he tried to relate with her, and what he was feeling for her vanished. It was pure infatuation, he was just obsessed with her face.

In this academy, there were lots of pretty girls also, but none of them caught his eyes. Evelyn was also pretty, but she wasn't catching his eyes either. But as for, Vera, yeah, she caught his eyes, and he had fallen for her already. And to be sure that what he was feeling was love, not infatuation. He fell for her even when knowing that she had apathetic behavior.

He didn't care about the behavior, all he was seeing was her. And he had a feeling that there's a reason why she was like that. But the question is, was he supposed to be falling in love right now? In this type of situation? In this apocalyptic era? Shouldn't his main focus be to become stronger?

And something else, was she feeling the same way for him? Most likely not. So what was his decision, even though he likes her, he'll try to suppress his feelings for her. Definitely, he can't stop loving her just like that, so he'll try to focus his attention on other things...the main one, that's becoming stronger.

At this moment, Hugo was playing a tournament right now as everyone was watching him, they wanted to see if he'll win or not. He was still playing the game when he decided to side-glance, at the moment he did that, he caught Vera staring at him. She wasn't staring at the game he was playing, she was staring at him.

But she quickly glanced at the screen of the phone he was holding in his hand. And he did the same too, he glanced at what he was playing, and his thought became busy at that moment,

'Is she falling for me too? Seems like she's falling for me. But I can't be too sure, it was just a stare'.

A certain type of love triangle was happening between them right now. But you know what? It can't be exposed now 'cause things were still complicated. It's full of unsure feelings.

Hugo finished playing the game, and since he's been playing, he's always been losing, but he won this time. They spent more time together, laughed, chatted, played games. And it was really late in the night when they finally decided to go to sleep. They left Hugo's bed and strolled to their various beds.

Hugo lay on his bed, and 'cause he was feeling sleepy already, he dozed off.

Morning reached, and people were engaging in activities already. There were set of people that do clean up everyday, their main focus was on the bathrooms and compound. And every single morning, each room is to be swept, that's the work of the students making use of that room.

People were already taking their baths and brushing their teeth. And you know what? The taps were running today, no one would have to draw out water from the well. They'll all make use of the showers...cool, right? By now, most of the students in the same compartment as Hugo had already taken their baths.

And that includes, Everett, Evelyn, and Vera. Ryder and Hugo were the last men standing. Well, the both of them took their baths, and for the first time in all of Hugo's eighteen years on earth, he made use of the shower to take his bath. It was a new feeling, and he was enjoying the feeling, there were no showers in ancient times.

After bathing, the rest of other activities took place, everyone ate breakfast, then each student went to their different classes for different activities. As known, Hugo's class was the A class since his power level was still low, and the rest of other A class students were there. They engaged in some activities, and now, it was about time for everyone to resume training.

The compound was already bustling with students training, both A class, F class, and very few S class. Hugo sauntered to Captain Wayne's office to remind him about their training today, and Captain Wayne said to him,

"Go wait for me at the compound, I'll be there soon".

And Hugo sauntered away, he evacuated the building, and within seconds, he was already on the compound. He glanced at that spot where he and Captain Wayne trained yesterday, it was free, so he strolled to that place. He's been waiting for three minutes now, but Captain Wayne hadn't arrived, he didn't even sight his shadow coming.

Captain Wayne's words were, 'I'll be there soon', this wasn't soon? It was after waiting for 6 minutes that he sighted Captain Wayne coming, his hands were in his back...that was his style. As Captain Wayne strolled, he glanced at the people training, and he nodded his head. He got to where Hugo was standing and inquired of him,

"Did I keep you waiting for long?".

"No". Hugo retorted, and truly, it wasn't that long, it was just 6 minutes.

"So, how far did you go with your training yesterday?". Captain Wayne inquired once again.

"I wouldn't say I went that far, but I learned a few things. I worked on my attack speed and all that, and I was able to learn some things".

"Hmm, so, would you say any of your attacks would touch me today?".

"I can't say, but I'll try my best".

"OK then, let the training begin".

"So, who would attack first?". Hugo inquired.

"Who do you want to attack first?". Captain Wayne voiced out throwing a question also.

Hugo contemplated for some seconds, then he said, "Umm..let me be the one to attack first as for now".

"OK, so be it". Captain Wayne said moving back a little, then he placed his hands in his back once again.

Hugo focused, thought of his attack strategy, Captain Wayne would most likely dodge his first attack, but he wouldn't give him breathing space. He wouldn't give him a chance to relax, he wouldn't create unnecessary openings. Done thinking his strategy, he charged towards Captain Wayne.

There was a certain kind of kick he learned yesterday while training alone, he learned it from a certain female F class student. That kick would take you off the ground, it was just like shadow kick, but more complex. He practiced it yesterday while working on his attack speed, and he planned on using that kick on Captain Wayne right now.

The kick could easily create an opening, but if you're good at using it, an opening wouldn't be created. He wasn't that good at using the kick yet, but he was still gonna try it on, Captain Wayne. He knows the attack would be easy for Captain Wayne to dodge, but he has a backup plan.
